It seems that the fake news factory in India is not going to settle down anytime soon. Rajiv Batwal, PM Modi’s cook in Varanasi, is the latest victim of fake news peddlers and PM Modi-hating media. On Saturday, Rajiv denied all the media reports’ claiming that he is unhappy over PM Modi’s statement where he said that selling Pakoras is also a type of employment. With respect to fake media reports claiming that he isn’t impressed with PM’s pakoda comment, Rajiv Batwal said, “I don’t know anything about it. They asked me since when I’m working here, I told I cook here for past 10 yrs. I don’t know anything about politics over “pakoda”. Whatever is published is wrong.”

Rajiv said that media people had asked him for how long he has been working there. Rajiv told them that he has been cooking food there for the last 10 years. He also said that he was not aware of the politics that happened on PM Modi’s Pakoda statement. He added that everything that has been printed in his name is false and baseless.
Whenever, PM Modi visits his constituency, Varanasi, he stays in the guest house of Diesel Locomotive Workshop (DLW), and Batwal cooks for him. He has cooked for PM Modi for almost 15 times since 2014.
However, the media houses which carried out this hit job have not yet apologized for their deliberate mistake.

In fact, they edited the story’s online version and removed the lines that have now been denied by Rajiv Batwal.

The so-called fourth pillar of Indian Democracy, the media behaves like an unleashed system with no accountability; they twist the statements of people or put the words in the mouths of individuals to suit their nefarious agenda. It is one of the reasons why Indian media is losing its credibility rapidly. The news that PM Modi’s cook is not impressed with his Pakoda remarks has spread like a wildfire. PM Modi’s critics latched on to this fake news to further their own agenda. All this shows media’s hatred for PM Modi and his policies. Most of the media criticizes whatever PM says or does. The media seems to be working on to establish TINA (There is no alternative) fallacy as a truth and for that, they are leaving no stone unturned.
The media opposed the proposal of I&B Ministry to ban fake news precisely because they are the ones spreading fake news. At a time when countries like France and Malaysia have come up with laws against fake news, India journalists are opposing enactment of any such law. They want complete independence to use their toxic voices to spread venom, hatred and secessionism in the society. They presume that they speak truth to the power but in reality, they are spreading lies to gain power, to bring a party in power which is favorable to them and provides them political patronage.
