Today, self proclaimed journalist Rajdeep Sardesai completed his 30 years in Journalism. His journey was full of ups and downs but mostly downs. It’s a really remarkable achievement. Despite getting exposed, trolled and humiliated on social media for his low quality journalism, he continued his profession. 2002 fame journalist- Rajdeep Sardesai- is the epitome of everything that is wrong with Indian journalism. He is biased, hypocrite, propagandist and charlatan. He left no stone unturned to malign Indian journalism globally. Today on his special day we have compiled a list of 30 glorious moment of shame of Rajdeep Sardesai in the profession of Journalism.

  1. In July, controversial AAP leader Ashutosh, Madison Square Garden fame journalist Rajdeep Sardesai and Arunodaya Mukherjee surrendered in ACJM-3 court in the case of airing a ‘fake’ sting operation in 2006. The fake sting operation had been aired against Dr. Agarwal in 2006 on news channels IBN7 and CNN-IBN. These news channels have been rebranded as News18 and CNN-News18 respectively. In the baseless and fake sting operation, he had been declared guilty of amputating limbs of healthy people in order to plunge them into begging. The journalists had started branding him as ‘shaitan doctor’ or devil doctor. Subsequent probes however made it clear that the sting operations were fake and the doctor’s innocence was proved.

2. Rajdeep Sardesai is a good boxer also. He displayed his boxing skills on Modi supporters outside the Madison Square Garden.

https://twitter.com/ARanganathan72/status/945361601250463744

3. He has interviewed many celebrities in his 30 year long career in journalism. Many times his guest raised objection over Rajdeep’s way of asking question, his mannerism and his absurd questions. Here Raj Thackeray ordered Rajdeep Sardesai to sit properly and then ask questions.

4. In an interview, former President Pranab Mukherjee also objected over Rajdeep’s attitude and asked him to maintain some courtesy.

And who can forget this very latest video in Rajdeep Sardesai’s hall of shame? Where Fmr President Pranab Da pulled him for his misbehaviour pic.twitter.com/IQD4ceVAnG

— Yo Yo Funny Singh (@moronhumor) October 14, 2017

5. India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani also insulted Rajdeep when he tried to portray Ambani as the most powerful man of India. Mukesh Ambani didn’t like Rajdeep’s label and ended up saying that he doesn’t take Rajdeep Sardesai seriously.

6. Many Journalists made careers out of the 2002 Gujarat riots, Rajdeep was one of them. 2002 Gujarat riots had all the ingredients for a successful media story (which goes on till date), A Hindu Nationalist CM, a prosperous state, a resurgent BJP and of course a Hindu Muslim Riot that led to the widespread violence and killings. Rajdeep was gripped by an insatiable urge to find out the truth all by himself and by routinely pointing fingers at the then Gujarat CM and current Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Here’s PM Modi ripping Sardesai all ends apart :

7. Here Madhu Kishwar slamming Rajdeep and his entire tribe for haunting Narendra Modi.

Even the Journalism fraternity knows him and his Khan Market Jhola gang very well !! See how Madhu Kishwar reminds him his own failed brain pic.twitter.com/5UUWpvPiZF

— Yo Yo Funny Singh (@moronhumor) October 14, 2017

8. The AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi completely owned Rajdeep when the latter came up with his own conspiracy theory that Owaisi has some sort of deal with the BJP.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfmgIPrTFVU

9. Rajdeep ran his show named ‘A Billion votes’ for 2014 Lok Sabha elections coverage. However, the truth is that there were 814 million (81.45 crores) registered voters in 2014 Lok Sabha elections. So Rajdeep’s figure is wrong by the margin of total population of many countries.

CNN IBN election prime: 7 pm: Billion Votes; 7.30 pm: #ibnopenmike; 8 pm: news 360; 8.30: election katha with @Ram_Guha

— Rajdeep Sardesai (@sardesairajdeep) May 9, 2014

He was subjected to ridicule in foreign media as well for giving misleading name to his show- ‘A Billion votes’.

 10. He used the appointment of Himachal CM Jairam Thakur to peddle his nefarious casteist agenda. For him the caste of chief ministers is more important than their leadership skills, capabilities, personal character, governance records etc. He excluded Prime Minister and President of India from his list, who happens to be OBC and Dalit respectively just because it doesn’t suits his narrative.

When convenient, evoke 'Saraswat Pride', when it is an order from 'Madam', lament that 'Caste in India' is here to stay! That's Rajdeep for you, Gold Standard in hypocrisy!! pic.twitter.com/ZR2a1JlBS0

— Shefali Vaidya. 🇮🇳 (@ShefVaidya) December 24, 2017

11. After France won Fifa world cup 2018, Rajdeep shamelessly decided to bring the caste angle into cricket.

The reason for success of French football is a bit like ours in cricket: we have ‘democratised’ the sport just as the French have built a multi-cultural football identity. But we need to do more: only 4 Dalits have played for India since 1947 and no Adivasi test champ yet!

— Rajdeep Sardesai (@sardesairajdeep) July 16, 2018

He received backlash for his tweet, infact many social media users exposed his intellectual bankruptcy.

I normally agree with you on most of the topics but this I don’t agree on, everyone in our current national team has earned their stripes and I don’t think anyone looks at what caste the players are from before supporting them.

— Nawed Khan (@NawedKhan_) July 16, 2018

From Royalty, Nobility and the educated elite it has now come to a pump operators son in Ranchi……
It is a "class" thing and not caste. We need to upgrade the schools used by the economically weak….. Do not bring caste or religion into sport.

— Mohan Raman (@actormohanraman) July 16, 2018

The reason for success is perfect practice, good coach, good players and team game. Bhaiya ji hame maf kar do. Sports ko baksh do please. Yaha bhi Jaat pat religion kar ke foot mat dalo. Please keep you fine judgement with you. Had hoti hai opinions ki..#KuchBhi https://t.co/pVSfnF8Ojo

— Divya Singh (दिव्या सिंह )🇮🇳 (@Divyasingh04) July 16, 2018

12. Just few years back, he gave casteist angle to the achievements of two great cricketers.

did you know that the saraswat brahmins have scored more than a 100 test hundreds between them, led by sachin and gavaskar!

— Rajdeep Sardesai (@sardesairajdeep) March 7, 2010

13. Along with being casteist Rajdeep Sardesai is a tweet thief also.

https://twitter.com/ARanganathan72/status/997550352261111808

https://twitter.com/ARanganathan72/status/997764043648786432

https://twitter.com/ARanganathan72/status/1018069430872440833

14. Tushar Damgude had filed an FIR with the Maharashtra police on the basis of which the crackdown on the alleged Urban Naxals had been initiated. In the India Today TV program, Rajdeep Sardesai who is a well known defender of the cabal exposed himself on national TV. Rajdeep visibly lost his cool, asking Tushar for proofs of him being present at the Elgar Parishad event where the alleged objectionable speeches were made. Throughout the interview Rajdeep shouted and asked how Tushar could term the arrested people as criminals in a desperate bid to save face. Tushar calmly replied that more than 250 organisation were present in the Elgar Parishad event and he had taken the names of a very few out of those who were present. In a highly unprofessional manner Rajdeep Sardesai tried to dominate Tushar and failed drastically at every step of the way.

“इश्क़ और मुश्क छुपाए नहीं छुपते”, well add Raju’s inclinations as well. Yo Raju got so agitated that u can almost feel him pull this guy into studio to bash. But the Best is when Raju is given back with presence at crime site with Osama & Dawood analogy pic.twitter.com/Hw5YqTSuR0

15. He is no less than a ruffian when it comes to abusing people and issuing threats to them on social media in DM.

https://twitter.com/kaustubhsumbre/status/726135279476719616

Hahah.. @sardesairajdeep have the balls to reply on the TL, instead of threats in DM. pic.twitter.com/uozzgyTHb2

@rahulroushan @tweetermedia @Atheist_Krishna how graceful of an eminent journalist and his tolerance. pic.twitter.com/GW8B3JiZGS

— Shayarcasm (@LordOfDaDrinks) April 30, 2016

However, Rajdeep Sardesai claimed that his account was hacked and someone else sent those abusive messages from his account.

https://twitter.com/rishibagree/status/726352549423403012

https://twitter.com/bwoyblunder/status/726415973146857472

16. Rajdeep Sardesai had shamelessly spread lies about BHU VC

The VC of BHU rubbished the claims of Rajdeep. The News18 report quoted BHU VC saying, “I was watching the whole proceedings on television from my office that day. Claims about I being present at the rally were malicious attempts to defame me and the university. I am ready for any punishment if these allegations are proven true. One malicious journalist started the whole thing by spreading lies on Twitter. If he comes to the campus again he will be thrashed properly. Wo vidhivat peete jaayenge. Bilkul peete jaayenge (They will systematically beaten-up). I will not allow anyone to spread lies about me or the institution.”

VC of BHU Girish Tripathi strongly denies charge that he participated in the @PMOIndia road show. Says will sue. Demands proof or apology.

— Rahul Kanwal (@rahulkanwal) March 5, 2017

17. On the day when Yogi Adityanath’s name was announced as the next Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister by the BJP, Rajdeep Sardesai started to spread lies about CM Yogi Adityanath. Rajdeep said that Yogi Adityanath had once said that Muslim women should be taken out of the grave and then raped.

PM just gave a speech on @indiatoday, @sardesairajdeep blatantly lies on the same channel that Yogi said "Muslim women should be raped"!!! pic.twitter.com/Qzdh10b7Hw

— Crime Master (@CrimeMasterV2) March 18, 2017

After the lies of Rajdeep, people lambasted India today and Rajdeep Sardesai and as a result, the channel issued a casual corrigendum for the statement.

https://twitter.com/SureshNakhua/status/845320589858521089

Filed complaint with NBSA against @sardesairajdeep for mkg fake allegations.

A Corrigendum!!! Is it so simple to get away with such crime! How does it rectify the damage done? @IndiaToday @ShivAroor @gauravcsawant pic.twitter.com/cnAMuDjIrR

— Mixed Raita (@MixedRaita) March 24, 2017

18. Recently, Rajdeep Sardesai was caught again spreading lies. With respect to Rafale deal, he authored a misleading tweet stating that the SC has issued a ‘notice’ to centre to explain processes followed in Rafale deal.

However, the Supreme Court had not issued any notice to the centre with respect to the decision-making process of the Rafale deal.

Without issuing any notice, a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court asked the central government to file a reply with respect to the decision-making process of the Rafale deal in a sealed cover

Read @ANI story | https://t.co/a29TdBhZQb pic.twitter.com/fAZaqjpWgn

— ANI Digital (@ani_digital) October 10, 2018

19. When the shocking news of Missionaries of Charity baby selling scandal surfaced, Rajdeep was busy in giving sermons rather than doing what a journalist should do. In his pursuit to defend Christianity and the Church, he ended up drawing an absurd equivalence. Saint of secularism asked if “a robbery in Tirupati temple tomorrow become about Hinduism?” People used Rajdeep’s absurd defence to expose his hypocrisy.

https://twitter.com/ARanganathan72/status/1016587401265844224

20. After the gruesome murder of 2 BJP workers in West Bengal, the BJP blamed TMC for their murder. However, Rajdeep Sardesai took moral high ground, he appealed everyone to ‘hold their peace’ until a thorough probe is being done and asked people to ‘stop playing politics over dead bodies in Bengal’. He sounds reasonable here but it’s just eyewash. It was a deliberate attempt to save a non-BJP government from criticism. And when it comes to passing judgments after a proper inquiry, his own record are not very good.

When left leaning journalist Gauri Lankesh was killed in Congress ruled state- Karnataka- Rajdeep Sardesai without any enquiry brought Hindutva angle into her murder.

 21. Rajdeep Sardesai has a habit of playing politics over dead bodies. He was shameless enough to write a blog titled “Political context to Prashant Poojary murder, cannot be compare to the Dadri beef lynching.” In his blog he went on to explain how Dadri was a gruesome murder that must be condemned unequivocally, but Prashant Poojary’s murder had a political context. All murders are equal but some murders are more equal than others. Just like Good Terrorism and Bad Terrorism for our self-appointed guardians of the society there are Good murder and Bad murder.

Political context to Prashant Poojary murder, cannot compare to the Dadri beef lynching writes Rajdeep Sardesai https://t.co/V38Sudm60k

— Dhanya Rajendran (@dhanyarajendran) October 22, 2015

22. After the killing of Muslim youth called Junaid, Rajdeep Sardesai along with other members of his tribe without any enquiry brought communal and beef angle into the murder. Rajdeep Sardesai even wrote an elaborate blog headlined “The poison of Kuch Log” to peddle his own pseudo-secular agenda.

Later on, after proper investigation court denied any communal angle.  But the damage was already done.

  23. Just before the Bihar elections ‘intolerance’ narrative was in full swing after Dadri lynching case. Rajdeep tried to push Amitabh Bachchan into the intolerance slush, but the seasoned actor didn’t just defuse Rajdeep’s attack but made him acknowledge on national media that intolerance is a trap.

When Amitabh Bachchan called out Rajdeep’s bluff. Even the greatest actor sees Agenda written all over Rajdeep and doesn’t fall in his traps pic.twitter.com/SpZvzxsBxk

— Yo Yo Funny Singh (@moronhumor) October 14, 2017

24. Former Indian Cricket team captain- Sourav Ganguly- badly insulted Rajdeep Sardesai. Rajdeep invited Sourav Ganguly at his book launch and there he tried to take jibe at former Indian cricket team captain but his attempt backfired and Sourav Ganguly, rightly so, gave Rajdeep taste of his own medicine and asked him to remain stick to the topic and don’t ask political questions at a non-political event.

25. Not just once, Dada humiliated him twice.

Is there any field that he has left to not shame himself ? See Sourav Ganguly call out Rajdeep for cooking stories. Love Dada’s Expression pic.twitter.com/C21Ch0Cmbl

— Yo Yo Funny Singh (@moronhumor) October 14, 2017

26. Not just Ganguly but even Rahul Dravid also trolled Rajdeep Sardesai when he asked Dravid if some of the cricketers have become bigger and more important than the game.

27. Not just cricketers, once India’s Tennis star Sania Mirza has also showed Rajdeep his right place when the latter brazenly asked Sania Mirza about her “plans of settling down”. Sania gracefully put Rajdeep in his place and made him apologize on national Media.

28. Rajdeep even managed to get slammed by Sadhguru as well.

29. Here’s Rajdeep trying his jibes at BJP leader Smriti Irani and getting reduced to a struggling, quivering and stuttering dud.

Rajdeep’s brand of Journalism only sells in Khan Mkt. See how Smriti Irani calls his bluff right on his face & makes him smell his own odour pic.twitter.com/J63JyYFoxZ

— Yo Yo Funny Singh (@moronhumor) October 14, 2017

30. Here, one more BJP leader- Piyush Goyal- educating Rajdeep Sardesai on economics. Here he clearly exposed Rajdeep’s lack of knowledge and education.

When Nobel Laureate Economist Rajdeep Sardesai was called out by Minister for faulty formula, calculator and of course his propaganda ! pic.twitter.com/g5XbLgNdvp

— Yo Yo Funny Singh (@moronhumor) October 14, 2017

And this, crusader of freedom of speech and expression blocks people on social media for exposing his lies and hypocrisy.

Don’t even bother tagging Rajdeep because he’s blocked me long time back in 2002+14 .. he’s at loss while I’m doing his appraisal pic.twitter.com/7hMItg3iVO

— Yo Yo Funny Singh (@moronhumor) October 14, 2017

I think I should wear the list of people who have blocked me as a badge of honour! It includes Rajdeep, Barkha, Vir Singhvi, Nidhi Razdan, Sonia Singh, Bainjal, Rana Ayyub, Shabana Azmi, SRK, Aamir Khan, and now, Shashi Tharoor. Itna khauf??
