The Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan has released its manifesto namely Rajasthan Gaurav Sankalp. The manifesto was released by Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Sh. Arun Jaitley, Union Minister of Human Resource Development Sh. Prakash Javadekar and the incumbent Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
While addressing the media, CM Vasundhara Raje said that in 2013 they had commenced their campaign with the vision of Swarajya and now they are going with the idea of Rajasthan Gaurav Sankalp.

She further added that 81% of the work has either been completed or is in the process of completion that was laid out in the manifesto of 2013 state legislative assembly elections by the BJP.
Raje said that her government has worked on all the 665 points that her government had laid out in their previous manifesto. She also claimed that the amount of work that has been done in the state in past five years is more than what most states haven’t been able to do in past 45 years.
Vasundhara, who is eyeing another term in the state said that her government worked towards the holistic development of the state in the past five years and plans to emulate same for the next five years. Union Minister Arun Jaitley while unveiling the manifesto said that Rajasthan’s manifesto is in sync with the manifesto of BJP at the centre as it shares a similar vision.
Talking about the promises that are being made in the manifesto, BJP aims at generating 50 lakh jobs in the state in next five years. 30,000 jobs will be provided in the government sector every year. Among her promises, Raje has made provisions for “unemployment allowance” for youngsters. She said, “Up to Rs. 5,000 per month will be given to educated youths above the age of 21 years under certain terms and conditions.”
While making the announcement in the field of education, Raje said to ensure girls attend schools regularly, her government will provide meals, regular health checkups and laptops. She further added that Rs. 50,000 will be transferred to their bank account when they complete their primary education.
“Recently, our government at the centre made rape for minors punishable with capital punishment (hanging),” she said while talking about the safety of women. She also declared that assistance to women from birth till old age will be provided by her government.
Showing her concern towards the farmers she said that Rs. 200 crore start-up funds and transparent implementation of minimum support price (MSP) will be set up in addition to setting up a commission for farm loan waiver. The farmers will have insurance that will cover any disability, illness or accident. Further establishing this point, she said that farm loans upto Rs.50,000 for small and medium farmers have already been waived off this year and farmers are getting the benefits of subsidized electricity and Rs. 80,000 crores have been given as cooperative loans.
Talking about the Happiness Index, Ms Raje said that the state’s happiness index will reflect upon her governance and the same will reflect in the mandate of the people.
