Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the face and the way India functions as of today, the accolades for PM Modi and his development oriented politics have been flowing in from the Indian citizens and from leaders of nations like United States of America and from forums like United Nations. However the parameter for judging the efficiency of judging a politician should be from ascertaining how many of his political opponents have changed the course of their politics to join ranks with them. PM Modi leads in this respect too, with the passage of time and implementation of his policies he has succeeded in changing the hearts of his opponents too. Politicians like Shazia Ilmi, Kapil Mishra and people from media industry like Punya Prasun Bajpai, Ashish Khetan and Ram Subramaniam owner of the social media page Voice of Ram are some of the members who are now supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party and PM Narendra Modi.
All these people have one thing in common that they were against PM Modi and his nomination as the Prime Ministerial candidate for BJP prior to 2014. Shazia Ilmi in particular had actively campaigned for the Aam Aadmi Party pre 2014 Lok Sabha elections. As a member of the National Executive of AAP she had done everything possible to make Arvind Kejriwal win the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. With AAPs shameful loss in 2014 Lok Sabha and after seeing the spiteful politics of Arvind Kejriwal Shazia left AAP and took a hiatus from politics in May 2014. She later on joined BJP in January 2015 and has since been working tirelessly for the BJP. In January 2017 she was appointed as the additional director (non-official part-time independent) of Engineers India Ltd (EIL) for a period of approximately three years.
The second name once again comes from the ranks of AAP; Kapil Mishra was not just a party leader but also an elected MLA from New Delhi for the AAP. His fallout with the AAP started when he questioned the work culture and ethics of party leader Arvind Kejriwal who had assumed dictatorial supremacy in the party. Kapil Mishra had been as vocal against PM Modi as any other leader from AAP who wanted Arvind Kejriwal to win in the Lok Sabha 2014. As an AAP leader he had continued to point fingers at the PM and BJP until he saw the ugly state of affairs inside his own party which made him lean towards BJP and change his opinions and words for PM Modi and BJP.
Another former AAP leader Ashish Khetan too has turned into a fan of PM Modi and his policies after the launch of the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Ashish Khetan used his official Twitter account to lend support to Ayushman Bharat scheme which was incidentally being opposed by his ex-leader Arvind Kejriwal and AAP alike. Ashish Khetan is the latest one to join the fan club of PM Modi and his policies, many more are sure to follow suit from the alleys of politics.

Punya Prasun Bajpai and his exit from ABP News had created shockwaves in the media industry with questions being raised on press freedom under the central government and of attacks on the journalists. Punya Prasun Bajpai was known to be critical of the central government policies and had been vocal against PM Modi in his stint as a journalist at ABP News. An article which Punya Prasun Bajpai wrote for The Wire post his exit from ABP News added fuel to fire and further gave out signals that something was wrong; Punya Prasun Bajpai however quickly came out in the open and delivered a speech where he clearly stated that nothing was wrong with the central government and press. Bajpai clarified that no pressure was being put on journalists and there was no way in which the central government had pressurized him or his former employers. Punya Prasun Bajpai had a surprising change of heart which has been similar to that which was done by the social media page Voice of Ram. Voice of Ram too has changed and this time thankfully for the better, it has appreciated PM Modi and his policies and has been vocal in supporting PM Modi time and again. With the passage of time more such changes will set in and more and more people are sure to accept and believe in PM Modi and his policies if these trends are to be believed. The results of the Lok Sabha 2019 elections will make it clear that PM Modi’s popularity is rising at a never seen before pace and this will continue to rise with more haters joining the list of his followers.
