Congress leader Shashi Tharoor is receiving flak on social media since yesterday because of his absurd statements. He said that India will become a Hindu Pakistan if the BJP comes back to power again in 2019. Deliberate attempt of Shashi Tharoor to provoke majority community and polarize the minority community has fallen flat on his face. His comments has led to a wave of anger across the country against the Congress party and Shashi Tharoor.
Deeply hurt by Shashi Tharoor’s oxymoronic, deceitful rant on Hindu Pakistan, a Muslim scholar from Aligarh Muslim University declared prize money of Rs. 11,000 to anyone who blackens the face of the Congress leader. Mohammed Ameer Rashid, President of Muslim Youth Association in Aligarh, condemned the statement of Shashi Tharoor and said that he has hurt the sentiments of both the Hindus and the Muslim nationalists. He said, “Hindu-Muslim unity is our cultural heritage and Tharoor has tried to defame it.” He further added that it was a direct attack on Hindu culture.
Mohammed Ameer Rashid has warned that India will never pardon Shashi Tharoor and his party for such baseless statement and the Congress party will have to face the consequences in the 2019 General elections. He also advised Shashi Tharoor that if he loves Pakistan so much then should shift to that country. He further said that Congress leaders like Shashi Tharoor, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Sushil Shinde and Digvijay Singh have all been conspiring to defame the Hindu society at the behest of Rahul Gandhi.
It’s not the first time that Muslims have come out strongly against the minority appeasement politics of the Congress party and its leaders. Earlier also, group of Muslim intellectuals who met with Gandhi scion on Wednesday also advised the Congress to introspect and to not talk about Muslims in particular. Historian S Irfan Habib told the ANI, “Today in the meeting, we advised Rahul Gandhi to not talk about the Muslim community in particular as it will give others an opportunity to polarise him as a leader. He should rather talk about poverty and education. If he does so it will affect 96 per cent Muslims like other Indians.” The intellectuals from the community also advised Rahul Gandhi to introspect on the policies he and the Congress have followed in the past few years and asked him to change the way in which “the Congress worked in the era of 1970s, when it talked about inclusiveness and Sajha virasat.”
It seems like that Muslims are not falling prey to blatant appeasement politics of the Congress party, anymore. Although, the leftist-liberal and Muslim radical lobbies have tried their level best to manufacture the narrative that Muslims are unsafe in India, intolerance, India has become ‘Lynchistan,’ saffron terror, cow vigilantism, undeclared emergency etc but all their narratives have failed including the latest one- the Hindu Pakistan.
People of India have understood the sinister agenda of Congress party. Hindus were already anguished with the Congress party and now Muslims are also alienating themselves from the Congress party. The future of Congress party looks gloomy again ahead of 2019 General elections. The upcoming elections could prove to be the final nail in the coffin for the dynastic party.
