His policies and schemes are tremendously contributing in Nation’s growth and development. Under his strong leadership India is regaining it’s lost pride and glory back.
Even after dedicating and devoting himself to the nation, PM Narendra Modi on every day basis gets abuses from Indian media and intelligentsia who always portray negative picture of PM Modi as well as of India. Dominant coalition of India never praised PM Narendra Modi’s strong leadership and his good works but even then PM Narendra Modi has supporters and admirers across the border. Shehbaz Sharif, President of the Pakistan Muslim League and the brother of Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also bestowed praises on India, He said, “Aaj Hindustan (India) G20 mein jaata hai to mere dil ko teer lagte hain ki Modi wahan jaake khada hota hai aur hum tamasha dekh rahe hain. (Today, when India goes to the G20 I feel an arrow piercing my heart when Modi stands up and we are simply the audience witnessing drama). Let’s convert this opportunity into making it Iqbal’s Pakistan, it’s only possible through free & fair elections.” He also claimed that India has surpassed Pakistan. Shehbaz Sharif further added, “India surpassed us in various fields. We thought Bangladesh is a baggage & it slipped off our hands. Look at Sri Lanka, Singapore, China all of them worked on our blue print & today we’ve lagged behind. If we don’t learn our lesson then God help us.” He was speaking in the context of the upcoming elections.
No matter how much Pakistan’s leadership abhor PM Modi, but they also know he is a great leader who is taking India to new heights. Shehbaz Sharif give example of developmental works done by PM Modi during election campaigns. In 2014, chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan also appreciated PM Modi. He said, “”Whatever you say about him, he is a faithful man.”
Not just among Pakistani leaders, PM Modi also enjoys huge popularity among common people of Pakistan. In an article by dailyO, Naila Inayat writes, “”Modi is a household name in Pakistan, he’s more popular here than in India,” tells Naveed a local shopkeeper in Lahore.

Despite Pakistan’s anti-India policy, PM Modi invited his Pakistani counterpart for his swearing-in and also visited Pakistan by breaking a decades long protocol and risking his life. He touched the feet of Nawaz Sharif’s mother in a show of respect and humility, in line with Indian tradition. Later on Pakistan PM sent a return gift of white sari for the mother of PM Modi as the latter had gifted his counterpart’s mother a shawl. All this contributed immensely to the popularity of PM Modi in Pakistan. They loved his soft approach but whenever required PM Modi has employed hard and strict approach in dealing with Pakistan. One of the major successes of Modi government have been the way it has dealt with Pakistan. From the surgical strikes to Foreign minister Sushma Swaraj’s fiery speech at United Nations, India has made it clear that it refuses to play by Pakistan’s rules after 2014. Whenever Pakistan has come face to face with India, it has only tasted defeat. Outgoing Pakistan Foreign Minister has also acknowledged that India’s attitude towards Pakistan has changed and India has become more aggressive. Khurram Dastgir Khan, the outgoing Pakistan Foreign Minister had said that India since PM Modi has come to power has started issuing “aggressive statements and postures against Pakistan”.
