Chairperson of India’s second largest political party, Rahul Gandhi, is missing, again. His last public appearance was on 20th June when he met with actor turned politician Kamal Hassan.

For many people, (although the numbers are declining rapidly) he is one of the important leaders of the country who also wants to become the Prime Minister. In the popular imagination, or in at least in the Maths department of Congress party, his stature in Indian politics is very high. It is highly unusual for a man like Rahul Gandhi with such a high stature to disappear like this without giving any explanation. His disappearance is really shocking and strange. Rahul Gandhi’s disappearance has sent tremors in the BJP camp, their star campaigner is missing.
The question is whether he is in India or not? Or he is on yet another sabbatical? Most important question, is he fine or not? SPG is with him or not? Despite knowing that how precious he is for the country and the BJP, he seems to be very careless with regard to his security. At least his office or his party members should give the public some information about Rahul Gandhi who is such an important public figure. People have every right to know about their leader especially about the chairperson of the main opposition party of India.
Respite for the well-wishers of Rahul Gandhi came when a senior journalist claimed that the Congress chairperson Rahul Gandhi is in London. He further, in his tweet, revealed that Rahul Gandhi left India on the 22nd and he will be back on the 28th June.

This is really shocking if it is true. What is Rahul Gandhi doing in London? Has he gone on work, or is he on another holiday again? Considering the fact that he is an important politician in India, what is his itinerary? What are the reasons behind his visit? Why the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi are not revealing it? Is it because he prefers keeping reasons of his visits secret or any other personal reasons? He keeps travelling to foreign countries quietly, can he not stay in India for too many days at a stretch before he feels the need for the break from India? Or do any other circumstances unknown to public force him to take regular sojourn to foreign countries? Can such a man be Prime Minister of India? A guy who aspires to become PM going on dubious visits to foreign countries is not a good thing. It would be in the interest of the country if they quickly clear the dust. Let’s hope everything is fine with him and he quickly returns to India to get back to his work that is paving the way for BJP’s victory in the elections. There should be more and more leaders in the Congress party like Rahul Gandhi who despite winning the elections refuse to take any credit and responsibility of the victory although it’s a different story that he contributes in the victory of the rival party-BJP.
