Indian Army and other security forces operating in Kashmir had a tremendous success in the past few months. The terrorists have been neutralized and arrested in many pinpointed attacks across Kashmir. Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hijbul Mujahideen are the two largest terrorist groups operating in the valley. These militant groups receive funding and help from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Pakistan and its dirty tricks are the primary reasons for the insurgency and burning of Kashmir valley. Indian government and the Army have time and again tried to make this fact clear to the youths from the Kashmir valley. The message for surrendering and not to pick up arms has been given to the Kashmiri youth time and again. The words of Indian Army and government often fell on deaf ears owing to the negative propaganda spread amongst the Kashmiri youths across the borders. The victories of the Indian Army in the past few months have ensured that the stream of propaganda from Pakistan has been narrowed down.

In the recent video of LeT militant, Aijaz Ahmad Gojri urging his friends to come back to their homes is the win India always wanted. Aijaz along with three other militants was caught by the Baramulla Police on 9th May, 2018. The Baramulla Police working with Indian Army and CRPF battalions were able to bust Aijaz and his fellow militants belonging to the LeT module in Kashmir. The LeT terror module was responsible for the killing of three Kashmiri people at Baramulla on April 30th. The terrorist group headed by Nadeem alias Abu Osama was also responsible for other murders and violent activities in Northern Kashmir.
The LeT militant, Aijaz released the video yesterday which became viral on social media and internet. Aijaz in the video starts with a message to the other militants, “I appeal to all militants, who are on the wrong path and have left their homes to live in jungles, return home to your parents… I am asking Nasir Amin, that his mother is very ill and he should go back”. Aijaz further stresses on how he and his fellow militants have been disillusioned and was exploited by Pakistan. In his own words Aijaz also praised the Indian security forces for sparing his life and giving him a new one. He says, “The Army could have killed me when they arrested me, but they saved my life instead. Earlier on the day of my arrest, Pakistan had told me that Army was committing brutalities… but it is not true. It is a conspiracy hatched by Pakistan”.
The video also shows Aijaz pleading to his fellow youth to shun the path of violence. He also blames Pakistan and LeT leaders operating from Pakistan for misleading Kashmiri people about the Indian Army. It is the first time something of this magnitude has happened in the valley, a terrorist now opting for peace and motivating others to lay down arms. Pakistan and its involvement in Kashmir valley has also been exposed by the video recorded by Aijaz. The people of Kashmir, specially the youth should listen to what Aijaz has to say about what goes on in terrorist organizations. Though Aijaz is still guilty of the crimes he committed while he was working with the LeT, but then his realization should be taken as an example by the youth of Kashmir. PM Modi and BJP central government along with the Indian Army and security forces operating in Kashmir should take pride in the fact that their policies towards Kashmir is working. The peace in Kashmir valley will come when the people realize the truth about India and the dark reality of Pakistan, like Aijaz has realized today.
