“When Arvind Kejriwal started making publicity of his simple ways, people started talking about my own simplicity. But I feel that simplicity should not be for publicity. The difference between my simplicity and his simplicity that he exploits simplicity for publicity”
These were the words of Wisdom of Ex Defense Minister and Current Goa Chief Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar. Has he not summed it up brilliantly? Kejriwal’s simplicity is like an overused knife which appears alright but fails to achieve its purpose. Kejriwal’s oversized shirts, ill-fitting Tery-Cot Pants and his signature Chappals/Sandals (Also a Muffler and a Red Adidas Sweater) have become his insignia, his inseparable parts and a constant source of Delhi’s embarrassment. He does what Lalu did 2 Decades back. Wearing an outward guise of Simplicity to confuse the voters.
Back in December 2014, Arvind Kejriwal flew Business class to attend a meeting. In August 2016, The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) released its report about AAP government’s expenditure on ads. According to an Indian Express’s story, the CAG report clearly pointed out that the government increased its spending on ads from Rs 25.25 crore (for 2013-14) to Rs 114.21 crore, including pending liabilities (for 2015-16). In the month of April 2017, Shunglu Commission accused Kejriwal Government of Massive Corruption. All of these instances make it sufficiently clear that Kejriwal is not the man he pretends to project. But he continues to pitch his simple image to gain sympathies from gullible Delhi voters.
Last year, Delhi CM embarrassed everyone by wearing sandals with socks at a banquet at Rashtrapati Bhavan which was hosted in honour of French President Francois Hollande.
And this time again, Arvind Kejriwal donned his Aam Aadmi attire for the Independence Day Event. He turned up again in a pair of tattered sandals, funnily his shirt shows crumples and creases at the waist line which means Kejriwal untucked his shirt for a photo-op. Perturbed by All this, a Delhi BJP Member decided to teach Kejriwal a lesson. He gifted him a pair of shoes.
BJP Media Team Member Raghav Mandal has gifted a pair of shoes to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on his Birthday. He has sent it through an online courier and tweeted a birthday greeting with the invoice.
@ArvindKejriwal ji Happy Birthday Sir ..A gift for u . pls do accept Vande Matram pic.twitter.com/b57q47kY2e

This is what Raghav Mandal had to say:
“CM of Delhi, Sh Kejriwal Ji once again decided to wear shabby clothes and footwear at a Govt Function. Even though his rather generous salary and such austere behavior don’t quite fit well, I thought of gifting him a pair of shoes on his birthday.
The levels of Mr. Kejriwal’s hypocrisy can be fathomed from the fact that he wears high end sports shoes while going for a morning walk. Instead of making an Aam Aadmi style statement he should focus on development of the real aam Aadmi”
I am sending shoes to Kejriwal ji so that he can wear them and turn up in a manner that befits the CM of Delhi and doesn’t embarrass us any further. Raghav Pal further added.
This is the Order Summary:
