Karnataka Chief Minister Sri Siddaramaiah has just unleashed a game of Thrones in Karnataka, by whipping regional, caste, religious, emotions just to win the next year Assembly elections.
While Right wing Intellectuals, political outfits, NGO’s are constantly striving to keep Hindus united and committed to following a conciliatory path, renouncing every parochial emotion that comes in the way of unity of this Vedic land, some narrow-minded political and regional outfits in the South, are playing dangerous games to divide India.
The doomsters will not rest. They try to grab every opportunity that comes in their way, considering it a blessing in disguise to stoke regional emotions. While doing so, they will have no regard to the integrity of India. By doing so they aim at a double-whammy. One, that would break the hearts of nationalists in Southern states and the second is consolidating non-Hindu faiths like Christianity and Islam. So, there lies a clear and present danger.
As we are well aware, Non Hindu Religions aiming to decimate Hinduism, as these religions strive in proselytizing the rest of the mankind. These religions believe in conversions of pop humans, rather than understanding the indigenous philosophy of Nature worship and non-dualism of the Hindu philosophy. Hinduism teaches nature worship as Hindus see God almighty in every living thing.
Hindus regard and worship the Pancha Bhoothas as elixirs of life. This is not just a view, or belief but a scientific fact. This wisdom of Hindus makes them more patriots, nationalists and exhibit veneration towards the land they live. Contrary to this, religions like Christianity and Islam thrive on conversions, increasing the population of their religious followers and hence, ‘country’ means nothing and patriotism is no priority over their faith. So, the concept of Mother land or Mathru Bhoomi means nothing in Islam and Christianity.
Hence the ideological clash between Hindus and the rest exist and remain, yet often this disagreement is misused to promote regional parochialism. A dangerous cocktail can be made out of it, by splitting Hindus and take out the chunk of BC, OBC, and Dalits and align with India’s powerful religious minority the Muslims. The Marxists, Leftists, and Pseudo secular media, and Pseudo Intellectuals have already started supporting some leaders to achieve this objective.
This theorem was Pakistan’s dreaded Intelligence wing ISI ‘s brain child and was neatly packed and forwarded to India’s anti-Hindu outfits to help them defeat the Hindus as part of break India plans. Now it is election time in Karnataka. The Congress CM, Siddaramaiah after his disastrous rule, with his cart loaded with the filth of failures, farmers suicides, communal unrest, Muslim appeasement, high-level corruption, red tape-ism etc, has no other idea or achievement to his credit to convince the people to win their votes other than playing a divide-and Rule game.
This is exactly where the Karnataka Congress Chief Minister Mr Siddaramaiah has been trying to pitch himself a la Periyar Rama Swamy of Tamil Nadu. It is evident that his efforts are only to form a strong vote bank by splitting Hindus with an aim to defeat BJP, as BJP has been thriving to unite Hindus against the communal attacks designed by some Muslim outfits.
For quite some time, Siddaramaiah has been talking about AHINDA, a movement initiated by him long ago. ‘Ahinda’ was chiefly aiming to defeat the BJP’s efforts to unite Hindus, crossing all caste barriers. This is the evil designs of anti nationals under the pretense of a Dalit movement. This kind of re-alignment efforts was made in the past in Tamil Nadu, and Kerala too. It’s because in TN, Periyar, Anna Durai were pioneers in Dravidian movements, which was essentially an anti-Brahmin movement. Muslims were not even counted for inclusion in this crosswise mobilisation. Similar futile efforts were made in the then united Andhra Pradesh by Prajarajyam Party chief Chiranjeevi but boomeranged.
What is Ahinda? What is Ahinda movement?
AHINDA (A-HIN-DA) is Kannada acronym of a campaign, but not a Sanskrit phrase or the like, referring to any one community.
A>Alpasankhyataru (Religious Minorities)
HIN > Hindulidavaru (Hindu BC/OBC)
DA > Dalitaru (Dalits)
Off late the CM Sri Siddaramaiah has been talking much about the Ahinda. This is clearly an election feat.
The 5 yrs the Congress rule under his Chief Minister ship of Siddaramaiah was turned-out to be a disaster, and sensing that the Karnataka people’s mood is swinging towards Modi and BJP the CM started playing with religious, and regional emotions.
In the last 2 years, more than 10 RSS workers/leaders were murdered in Karnataka. The Congress party’s prejudice and apathy towards own Hindus fearing Muslim vote bank’s backlash are well exhibited by the CM Siddaramaiah in recent times. Though the situation is as bad as in West Bengal, the CM is attempting to divert the attention of the people from the real issues.
The CM is out and out stoking regionalism, communalism, and espousing enmity between the communities but all in the name of ‘social engineering’. The recent events in Karnataka are certainly causing much concern.
1) Anti Hindi agitation
2) Karnataka state flag
3) Anti upper caste Ahinda movement
4) attempt to split Lingayat community
5) Panel setup to recognise Lingayats as a separate religion
5) reservations in local jobs
6) Budgetary allotment to Ahinda groups
CM’s recent statement that Ahinda movement will be strengthened to prevent Dalits from joining Hindutva fold’ is clear indication of his attempt to divide the Karnataka people on the lines of Dravidian/ Aryan divide in Tamil Nadu. But the media predictably silent on his open attempt to divide the Hindus and rather giving much-needed publicity to Ahinda in a tactical manner.
Are Lingayat ‘s not Hindus?
As the past election result proved the fact that the entire chunk of Lingayat community solidly stood behind the BJP Ex CM, Yeddyurappa. So, Siddaramaiah has turned towards the Lingayat community, as if not enough was done to divide the Hindus and pitching each against the other.
Siddaramaiah has now formed a team with 5 cabinet ministers, all Lingayats to present a report on the long standing demand of the community, that Lingayat to be recognised as a separate religion. This demand was on cards for quite some time but never reached a threatening stage. Now the CM has seized this opportunity to win their votes in a sentimental manner.
However many Congress Ministers and other MLA’s fear that this move of the CM will have far reaching implications and in fact boomerang.
Lingayatism is a distinct Shaivite religious tradition in India. Its worship is centred on Hindu God Shiva as the universal God in the iconographic form of Ishtalinga. The adherents of this faith are known as Lingayats. Lingayatism was founded by the 12th-century philosopher and statesman Basava and spread by his followers, called Sharanas.
Shiva is the “destroyer and transformer” within the Trimurti, the Hindu trinity that includes Brahma and Vishnu. In Shaivism tradition, Shiva is the Supreme being who creates, protects and transforms the universe. Lord Shiva is an inherent core part of Hindu philosophy of cosmology, Hence it is preposterous to even think of Lord Shiva being outside Hinduism.
Lingayats population in Karnataka is anywhere from 1.2 cr to 1.4 cr. However, the Government census shows otherwise. The population of Veerashaivas is 65 lakhs and Vokkaliga is 55 lakhs. It is pertinent here to mention that the CM Siddaramaiah in 2015, had commissioned a ‘Socio-economic caste census’ first of its kind in free Independent India at the cost of 150 cr, by dispatching 1.5 lakh enumerators to one and a half crores house holds in Karnataka State. This shows that Siddaramaiah had an eye on 2018 elections way back in 2015 itself, in the after effect of Modi’s historic victory in 2014. He sensed that his future is bleak, and hence hatched a conspiracy to divide the Hindus to form an intimidating vote bank to defeat the BJP. But this divisive, dogmatic census was neither criticised by the media, nor any attempt was made to thwart its progress. How a similar move in Gujarat was faced with stiff resistance is known to all. Siddaramaiah is now holding back the census figures and planning to release it just before 2018 polls.
In the recent Budget, CM has showered sops to SC ST OBC communities, but farmers woes were un addressed. In 2016-17 in just one year 821 farmers committed suicide. Their concerns were not addressed, conditions were not improved.
Tamil Nadu and Karnataka rocked by anti-Central Government protests recently
From Kudankulam to the recent Jallikattu protest, resentment against RSS leaders unmindful comment on South Indian’s skin tone, and the present anti-Hindi agitation in Karnataka all have an undertone of bitterness against North Indians. BJP should trend guardedly and never precipitate the anti-Hindi, anti-North Indian feelings. Let the sign boards on Metro and other public places go with out Hindi. No issue. No harm. BJP high command should gauge the sentiments and encourage regional languages like Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. BJP should consider this emotion of Kannadigas and Tamils seriously and should never back Hindi imposition other wise it will affect poll prospects of BJP in Karnataka.
Hindus unity is paramount importance for Right wingers and nationalists at this critical hours. Those pro-Hindi pro-Right wing media too should never attempt to justify the imposition of Hindi as part of 3 language formula. 3 Language formula is equally applicable to the entire India though not implemented uniformly.
What’s most shocking is that a lot of people in Karnataka have failed to see through Siddaramaiah’s dirty tricks and have even supported his blatantly divisive antics. Ancient Hindu Bharat was rich, prosperous and even powerful but it was invaded so many times. We lacked the most important trait that binds the nation together. Unity.
