Remember the incident published by all major media organizations, about a “rapist Swami’s” genitals being cut off by a courageous young woman in May 2017. Well, there seems to be a major twist to the whole story.
The whole incident which initially was blown out of proportion by the Hindu-hating media organisations, was carelessly brought to the fore and served to the people without any facts being confirmed. The titles even more precariously stated,
“Kerala Law student chops off Genitals of a Swami” – NDTV
“Tired of Rape, Kerala woman nearly cuts off swami’s penis” – The Indian Express
“54-year-old Swami bobbitised by girl” – Business-standard.com
The above only highlight the disgraceful half-truth lies that were pedaled by the established media houses and we are not even considering the kind of slander that was published by the likes of TheQuint, Scroll.in and others.
The articles surfaced on 20th May, 2017 and it seemed to take Social media by the storm. The manufactured narrative by these organizations ensured that they focused the discussion amongst the people at large to only two points:
- A young girl chopped off genitals of a person who had” allegedly” raped her – This narrative suited all the pro-feminist brigade.
- A young courageous girl chopped off genitals of a “Swami” who had “allegedly” tried to rape her. – This narrative suited the left, pro-communist, pro-evangelist, pro-atheist enthusiasts.
What is despicable is the appalling manner in which the Chief Minister of the state (Kerala) responded to questions on this issue by the media personnel. CM Vijayan, Captain of the sinking communist ship, when asked about the incident and about the steps that his government would take in furtherance to this, he chuckled and said, “What more action do you need?”. This statement was not only insulting to the girl (who had claimed to be a victim) but also towards the priest, because the leader of the state had laid down a verdict and declared the “swami” to be a rapist even before a proper investigation was set up in the above issue at hand. This lauding of acts courageousness, without having facts in place is where the problem arises.
No doubt, that if the girl had indeed been raped by the priest, then the girl’s acts did serve him right. With reference to this, it is also important to note that with the kind of past that Indian media organizations have had, their unending hunger to peddle lies which aim to demean the faith of the majority of the population is very well known and this time too, their attempt to communalize a particular incident of crime has come to light and the resultant factor is not in black and white but in 50 shades of grey.
The Initial story which had grabbed headlines was about a brave girl chopping off a Swami’s genitals who had allegedly raped her for several years. But in the latest twist, the “courageous” girl has gone back on her initial story and has rather stated that she was forced into making these statements.
In a letter that was written by the girl to the priest’s defense Lawyer, she admitted that, “ There has been no form of sexual harassment by the swami ji towards me. Neither when I was a minor or when I turned 18. The accusation of swami ji sexually harassing me at 16 and 17 years is false and an addition made among the other additions by police people”. The girl in her letter also stated that it was rather swami ji who had encouraged her to take up Law in the first place.
The woman further stated that it was a plot by a man (Ayyapadas) who had turned her against the priest by making her believe that Gangeshananda Theerthapada, alias Hari swami (the priest) was looting money from her parents by taking her father’s salary certificates and that he (Ayyapadas) was the one who had given her the chopper to cut off the priest’s penis.
While it is not clear whether the girl was lying then or now, it is clear from the given facts at hand and the way this story has developed, that this is not an open and shut case. The case needs to be investigated to the core with both sides being given a fair chance to prove their case (if there is another side now).
Even after the letter being presented, the Hon’ble court denied bail to the priest. The prosecution although asked the court to conduct brain-mapping and polygraph on the girl. Having sent a notice to the girl, the court now waits for her to consent to such tests.
This nefarious agenda to intentionally defame Hindu saints or rather anything that finds its roots to this ancient Hindu civilization has become a bread and butter for many and while they are at it, spreading their half-baked, half-truth/lies to the people at large masquerading themselves as the messiahs of this 21st century India, it is pertinent each one of us (as citizens) look through this agenda at once.

Had they to honestly report such incidents, they never would have published articles titled “rapist swami” and “swami’s genitals chopped off” without having their facts in place.
In their bid to please their masters at 10 janpath and Lutyens (in Delhi) these so-called journalists are harming India and its cultural diversity in ways more than one and it won’t be long before they feel the implications/effects of their wrongdoings.
