An anonymous user on Q&A site Quora asked – Why is Narendra Modi destroying India? The question had no details, no reasoning and no justifications whatsoever. It looked like a non-serious question, something asked only for trolling.
Quora user Rohit Sawant didn’t think so. He took it as a serious question and came up with this winner of an answer which has a very jovial tone, laced with sarcasm but it hits the nail right on the head.
Here’s what Mr. Sawant says:

Why do my friends feel that Narendra Modi is destroying India ?
- My friend was a black money holder. Narendra Modi’s demonetization destroyed him, so he thinks Modi is destroying India.
- My friend was a urea smuggler. Narendra Modi started coating urea with neem, which makes it unusable for the chemical factories, which destroyed him again, so he thinks Narendra Modi is destroying India.
- My friend was a drug peddler and was a prostitution agent. Narendra Modi’s demonetization almost closed all his illegal routes of channeling money, which destroyed him again, so he thinks Narendra Modi is destroying India.
- My friend was a stone pelter in Kashmir. Narendra Modi’s demonetization affected his earnings from pelting stones, which completely destroyed his life, so he thinks Modi is destroying India.
- My friend had links with some terror camps in POK. Indian army’s surgical strikes under Narendra Modi’s supervision killed his links in POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir), so he thinks Modi is destroying India.
- My friend is Chinese, he wanted to support Pakistan for which India should keep their mouth shut. But Modi is trying to destroy all his plans, so he feels Narendra Modi is destroying India.
- My friend was a PM earlier, who wanted poor people to be away from banks and digitalisation, but Narendra Modi’s Jan dhan account and Digital India scheme completely destroyed his reputation, so he thinks Narendra Modi is destroying India. (Now don’t ask me whether my friend was wearing a raincoat in the bathroom).
- My friend was the head of one of the most uneducated families in India which owns a political party. Narendra Modi destroyed his career and his dreams of becoming yuvaraj of the country and turned him into a joker, so he thinks Narendra Modi is destroying India. (Now don’t ask me whether my friend’s name is Raul Vinci or whether he has any connections with Italy).
- My friend was running a NGO, now he is in one of the most respected positions. He had a bad habit of gifting a sewing machine and Rs 10k cash to rapists, but Narendra Modi doesn’t entertain these stunts which destroyed the popularity of his stunts, so he feels Modi is destroying India. (Now don’t ask me whether my friend coughs with a muffler around).
- My friends (old politicians, bureaucrats) who were in no way related to the present government were staying in the prestigious Lutyens bungalow from many years. But Narendra Modi asked them to vacate Lutyens bungalow if they were not related to any job in the government, destroying their life temporarily. So they think that Modi is destroying India.

- Another friend of mine is a chief minister of a state (Which holds the name west being in east). She is an expert in fooling people with her paragon chappals and white saree and she is an expert in making black money through chit fund companies like Sharda, Rose valley etc. Suddenly on November 8 all her black money was destroyed by Narendra Modi’s demonetization. She had gone mad for 15 days. So she thinks that Modi is destroying India. (Now don’t ask me whether my friend is DD or Ban-her-jee).
- My 30 year old friend was/is/will be pursuing PhD in JNU, Delhi. He was busy shouting anti-national slogans in the campus to gain the attention of Narendra Modi like an immature kid. But Modi kept silent, which destroyed his illogical ideas and his throat, so he thinks Modi is destroying India. (Now don’t ask me whether his name starts with K or U).
