Arvind Kejriwal is God. Anyone who has the audacity to question Sir Kejriwal is paid by PM Modi. Sir Kejriwal stooped to a new low when after being reprimanded by the Election Commission for his bribery remarks accused the EC on working the behest of PM Modi. He appealed to the voters of Punjab and Goa to take money from both the BJP and INC as a reward for voting for the respective parties but in the end, should only vote for AAP.
Now this statement by Sir Kejriwal openly endorses bribery and it wasn’t a surprise when the Election Commission decided to censure Arvind Kejriwal for his remarks and let him off with a warning. But instead of apologizing he instead accused the EC of supporting corruption and asking the EC to make him the Brand Ambassador of their Anti-Corruption drive.
Now why would Election Commission appoint a political leader for any of their campaigns? Kejriwal’s defense is devoid of any logic. For once we are to believe what Arvind Kejriwal is saying is true and PM Modi is indeed running the Election Commission then why on Earth the BJP lost the Bihar elections convincingly and had to invest so much time and money for its campaigns in UP, Punjab and Goa? All it would take is a call from PM Modi to the Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi on the counting day to ensure BJP’s victory.
The same EC presided over Arvind Kejriwal’s historic victory in the Delhi Assembly elections in 2015. Arvind Kejriwal has even questioned the Supreme Court several times. He thinks he is above law and has no respect for the democratic system of India. Arvind Kejriwal is just a defeated man who has sensed his party’s impending defeat in the upcoming polls and has already started making excuses and resorting to cheap antics.
Probably if the results of Punjab and Goa are not in his party’s favor, Kejriwal will not accept defeat just like Hillary Clinton and one might see Arvind Kejriwal carrying banners of “NOT MY PRIME MINISTER!”
His actions are constantly unbecoming of an IITian and a former civil servant. Despite having only one AAP minister in Delhi as his other ministers are busy campaigning, he announced that AAP would not contest the UP elections but would campaign against the BJP.
Arvind Kejriwal led AAP was supposed to redefine the Indian Politics and bring about a change. Since its inception, it has managed to do exactly the opposite of what was expected of them.
After the damaging defeat in the Lok Sabha polls in 2014 which nearly led to Kejriwal quitting politics, he and his party staged a fantastic comeback in the 2015 Delhi election winning an unprecedented 67/70 seats. Since then it has all went downhill for Arvind Kejriwal and his party.
Instead of using the mandate for development, he used it for theatrics and desperately trying to bring Modi down. His ambitions of becoming the Prime Minster are well known. Having started out as one of the most promising politicians, sadly his political career is met with one mistake after the another. From aligning with the INC in 2013 to supporting Lalu Prasad Yadav for the Bihar elections the list goes on and on.
His obsession with PM Modi is also well known. Not a day goes without him tweeting some nonsense about the Prime Minister. From baseless allegations to calling the PM a psychopath to even criticizing PM Modi for meeting his mother he has done it all. Arvind Kejriwal has a problem if Modi’s mother stands in line to exchange old notes, he has a problem even if PM Modi meets his mother in Gandhinagar. Recently at a rally in Rohtak, he baffled one and all by breaking a makeshift tijori labeled “Modi’s tijori” which according to him contained documents of PM’s personal corruption and showed it to his supporters leaving people questioning his mental condition.
Arvind Kejriwal is nowadays hardly seen in Delhi as he campaigns for his party for the Punjab and Goa elections. Manish Sisodia hinted what we already knew that Kejriwal might become the CM of Punjab if his party is voted to power again leaving the people of Delhi stranded. Blaming PM Modi for everything wrong that happens to him and his party and his failure to deliver his promises to the people of Delhi, he is hell bent of committing a political suicide of sorts.
Certainly, if he leaves Delhi yet again like he did in 2014 to become the PM of India where his party has 67/70 seats, AAP would be wiped out in the next Delhi election. Clinging on to Delhi till Punjab polls and moving out of Delhi only if his party wins the Punjab polls is nothing but an act of cowardice.
It is baffling how Arvind Kejriwal is behaving leaving some of his own supporters dumbfounded. When the pic of him and Lalu hugging, each other surfaced, the anti-corruption crusader defended himself by saying that it was Lalu who pulled him forcefully for a hug. One can only wonder that did Lalu also manage to make Arvind Kejriwal smile during the ‘forceful’ embrace?
It is pitiful to see a politician who was supposed to redefine the Indian politics is now the butt of jokes all over. It’s hard to contemplate what Arvind Kejriwal is trying to achieve with his negative politics apart from obviously having PM Modi’s head at his toes.
I don’t know what took over him, he has lost it probably.
