The much awaited News Channel ‘Republic’ has been launched, India can proudly assert itself that the Nation is freshly set on the ‘right’ path, dumping the whole cabal of ‘Leftist’ infected media in one go.
When it comes to my own conviction,how far Mr Arnab Goswami can live up to his promise of a ‘right’ revolution through his news channel ‘Republic’, my optimism can not be cocksure, but only fifty fifty. Because a ‘Right wing news channel’ to be truly a right one, has to strictly follow certain newly developed norms.
What are these norms, let me spell out now.
Mr Arnab Goswami, with out hesitation is one among the very few Rightly thinking Journos in India. A blue eyed boy for millions of patriotic but frustrated citizens in India. Frustrated because of three decades of dominance of anti Hindu , pro minority biased coverage of news 24×7 all in the name of secularism.
What is Arnab’s perspective of a Right Wing political view?
“A media that is embarrassed to take a stand between India and Pakistan and pretends to be a bridge maker does not defend the interests of this country is not my kind of media” This is what Arnab’s view.
It’s a direct attack on Times Of India’s initiative of ‘Aaman ki Aasha’ and many other belligerent acts of our biased media in avoiding attack of Pakistan and it’s terror war with India.
Now let’s examine Arnab’s fierce attack of Pakistan and it’s atrocious terror war game with India, and equally the other side of his pusillanimous attitude in toeing the same line of Leftist media when it comes to reportage on Communal riots in India. This is where my hesitation is all. So I said , my confidence is just fifty-fifty.
Arnab is a born nationalist. And fierce nationalist too as much as the rest of Indians are. Every Indian is supposed to be a nationalist and patriot. There can’t be two opinions about it. And yet we have reached a stage now, that even ‘Nationalism’ has since been reduced to an ‘opinion’ by the left wing ideologues. This disastrous view has been taking shape in recent times, only to justify the recent ‘anti-nationals and pro Pakistan elements in left wing camp.
Arnab’s stand during his stint in TimesNow can be classified in to 3 segments
1. Indo Pak relations and terror attacks.
2. Domestic politics and
3 Coverage of communal strifes and riots.
Arnab’s nationalism was unquestionable and unassailable too, when he dealt with Indo Pak relations and Pakistan sponsored Terrorism. It was not agenda driven, policy driven opinions, but were sincere and bonafide ones. He simply attacked the anti nationals, Pak sponsored terrorism, terror sympathizers, both from India and Pakistan, with out fear. Why one should fear, while taking on a terror state like Pakistan, because of prevalence of such pro Pakistan views among left wing ideologues all around.
When it comes to domestic politics, he has at times supported the BJP views, its because of veracity of such views.
Despite Arnab’s sterling nationalism his haplessness can be seen in reportage of communal riots. It’s all similar to the rest. Biased, callous, oppressive, selective coverage, basing on the religion of the victims.
It is a well fixed fact that when media maintains a stone silence on an ongoing communal riot, it can be construed that ‘Hindus’ are at receiving end, if we hear a shrill cry in all channels then it is contrary to the above.
Journalistic spirit, and principles should always be kept in mind, while reporting communal strife, so as to contain the fire from further aggravating. Nevertheless such a principle is applicable in both situations, but not selectively. This biased tendency of media has alone caused the Right wing up rise in 2014.
I can easily guess what Damocles sword was hanging above his head during his stint in Times Now. It’s agenda driven Pseudo secular commitment of the management.
Be it, it may be the fear of Bollywood, Muslim fundamentalism, or wrath of corporate giants. But it is evident that Arnab started coming out, when he hit hard the ‘triple talaq’.
I can easily compare our Arnab with Will McAvoy of NewsRoom TV serial anchor. McAvoy fought with many enemies around including his mentors.
It’s time to dismantle this cruel biased media. They had time, energy resources to travel all the way 4,000 KM to Ghaza strip to cover the live war. But had no time, and resource to travel to Assam with in India to cover the riots. Because the victims were Hindus.
So, Republic is on time and on dot.
But Arnab has a perilous pitfall
Arnab is very good anchor, with great articulation, but poor in conducting debates with 5, 6 panelists at a time. He is very poor in containing the chaos and the debate smoothly. Once he overcome this he is through.
What contents should Arnab focus ?
Right wing ideology is not just confined to patriotism, nationalism alone. Right wing ideology is indigenous, endemic so anti majority is simply anarchy and abuse of human rights too.
Hence Arnab should
1) expose Religious Conversions
2) Illegal immigration from across Bangla Desh
3) Non-Hindu religious bigotry.
4) un biased coverage of riots , but strictly following the norms.
