RGV has roped in Manoj Bajpayee to play Kejriwal like character in Sarkar 3; Twitterati feel Varma has hit the right note after several years.
Ram Gopal Varma often makes it in the headlines because of his tweets more than his movies these days. Though he made Aag, RGV has already proved his talent and his intellectual level with movies like Satya, Bhoot, Sarkar, Company, Rakta Charitra, and The Attacks of 26/11. His level of versatility and cinematic brilliance is such that he makes horror movies, biopic, crime, political thrillers, as well as films on underworld/gangsters with equal ease.
Now, the veteran filmmaker has announced the third installment of his hit franchise-Sarkar. The movie has been named as-Sarkar 3 as of now.
RGV’s recently released film-Killing of Veerappan’s Kannada version received a good response, but film’s Hindi version-Veerappan- was just rated average.
Sarkar 3 will bring back Big B’s most powerful character-Subhash Nagre (Sarkar). But, besides this character that is partly based on Balasaheb’s life as per RGV, Sarkar 3 introduces character Govind Deshpandey. Portrayed by critically acclaimed actor Manoj Bajpayee, this character is slightly violent and cranky version of Delhi CM Kejriwal as per Ram Gopal Varma.

I think @BajpayeeManoj is a fantastic actor but definitely a far lesser actor than @ArvindKejriwal

According to information released on the director’s website, Govind is Sarkar’s political opponent. Besides, Manoj Bajpayee and Big B, eight other characters that feature in Sarkar 3 are- Parag Tyagi, Bharat Dabholkar , Rohini Hattangadi, Bajrangi Singh, Yami Gautam, Ronit Roy, Amit Sadh, and Jackie Shroff. The film is set to be released on August 26, 2017.
Even the director is more enthusiastic about Amitabh Bachchan and Manoj Bajpayee’s character. On the production company’s website, he has clearly stated that Godfather can be imagined without Brando, but Sarkar cannot be imagined without legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan.
The maverick genius is famous for his realistic approach. He does extensive research while developing every character in this film. In fact, when Varma made Rakta Charitra based on Paritala Ravindra’s life, investigative agencies from AP approached him to know about how he researched and wrote the climax of Rakta Charitra 2. Officials who approached RGV for help were investigating Paritala Ravindra’s murder case.
The director also attracted controversy when he entered Mumbai’s- Taj Mahal Palace Hotel to assess the damage after 26/11 attacks with the then Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh. CM attracted a lot of ire for allowing Varma to accompany him and he even lost his CM’s post because of the same.
Anyway, getting back to the topic, RGV must have carried out a great amount of research on Delhi’s CM while developing Govind Deshpandey’s character. Perhaps, this role will be more like Kejriwal’s Maharashtrian version.
Aap party from now on should be renamed Paap party for P in pakistan and paap as in sin..-#JaiAllahKejrewal

With his muffler cap I always thought he looked like monkey but now after his comments on armed forces I realised that he's truly a monkey

Armed forces apart from external surgical strikes should do internal surgical strike on anti nationalist Kejriwal #JaiAllahKejrewal

Kejriwal shows minimum interest in governing the state that voted for him and is often busy in campaigning for his party outside Delhi. Then, if he finds time from campaigning, he spends that on constant run-ins with the Modi Government to attract undue attention. He recently made it in the headlines for using Delhi’s resources to promote AAP outside the state. There is no money to open new medical facilities for treating dengue patients, but amazingly, state government finds money to spend that on running digital marketing campaigns for promoting Dadri lynching story.
The director has criticized Delhi’s CM several times on Twitter. Aaptrads have already started targeting the director for exposing their “Napoleon.”
Here’s how Twitter reacted to RGV’s tweet about character inspired from Kejriwal-
