Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh: The Organization Misunderstood

In an ever changing India, one thing remains constant, the fact that the front pages of our newspapers and the news headlines almost unmistakably contain some sort of negative coverage or unprecedented criticism about one particular organization, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh which also interestingly happens to be the biggest NGO in the world. The present strategy of the pseudo seculars and the Mainstream Media is to dismiss whatever positive work the RSS does as false propaganda and every single politically immature statement by an RSS leader as a threat towards the Nation. We give you a list of ways in which the RSS and its ideology is the antithesis of what the RSS’s adversaries would want us to believe.

In times of disaster, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is the first NGO to help the dying poor:
I agree that the INC, the Left, Medha Patkar, Ravish Kumar, Kanhaiya and all such Pseudo liberal organizations and make believe heroes of the society are true socialists making utmost efforts to eradicate poverty. A very small problem being that all these ‘heroes’ go into hibernation mode in the event of a disaster whether it was the Indo-China War or it is the Nepal quake, Kashmir floods, the Chennai Floods or the recent Kolkata bridge collapse. Who assists the Left declared ‘rapists’ in evacuation process is a fascist RSS volunteer who supports a Brahminical order of society and wants to create a Nation which oppresses the minorities but does not ask your caste or religion before evacuating you. While a Rahul Gandhi can only eat in a Dalit’s house which according to Congress reduces poverty, a Kanhaiya can only give an anti Modi Speech praised by a set of similarly minded anti Nationalists and a Ravish Kumar can only sport a black screen, it is only the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh which actually does something substantial and holds on to the hands of the poor even as the poor fights to survive in the event of a man made (it will be better to say left made) disaster in Kolkata.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is not against minorities:
What Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh supports and propagates is Hindutva which even the highest tribunal of our country maintains is a philosophy and in fact the soul of the Nation but not a religious ideology. The RSS thus only idolizes the philosophy of India and not the religion of Hinduism so that there may be a threat against the minorities. In fact the RSS even constitutes of Muslim and Christian wings but the Mainstream Media have worked hard to make sure that the fact does not become publicly known. In fact when the 1984 riots had taken place as a ‘big tree had fallen’, the RSS was the only organization which showed the valour of putting its weight behind the minority community of Sikhs even as the leaders of a political outfit organized open slaughter of the Sikhs on the streets of Delhi.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is an ever evolving organization:
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is always misrepresented by its adversaries as an orthodox organization which believes in Brahminical supremacy even though the Mahatma despite all his ideological differences with Savarkar had praised Savarkar for bringing the different caste groups of the Hindu society together and even as Savarkar openly advocated demolition of the caste system itself in the better interest of Hinduism. This is just a reflector of how far ahead the RSS was its time during its inception itself. Today the RSS advocates debate on all controversial points and do not at all enforce its opinion as many would like us to believe. In fact the RSS has advised the Government to reconsider decriminalization of an issue like homosexuality, which an orthodox Indian institution would definitely have not done. The RSS thus advocates a democratic society where opinions can be formed on the basis of ‘debates’ and not ‘impositions’ and has shown readiness of changing its stance with the passage of time.

Conclusion:

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh not been misunderstood by the masses or a section of the masses but it has been made to be misunderstood by its adversaries and unfortunately a false fear has been created among the Dalits and the minorities towards the RSS for reaping political benefits.

A plethora of myths have been created against the RSS to invoke general apathy towards it. For instance, the idea that the RSS started hoisting the National Flag only in the last decade owing to political compulsions is a farce. The truth is that the Flag Code of India came into force only in 2002 and until then the National Flag could be hoisted only in Government buildings by not hoisting the National Flag the RSS was only abiding by the law of the land. RSS thus has been defamed in accordance with a well thought out conspiracy between the Mainstream Media, the Pseudo Seculars and the self-acclaimed Leftist intellectuals.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is also to be blamed for ignoring the aforesaid conspiracy and not making a deep contact with the masses especially in the semi urban and urban pockets though off late it has changed this lax attitude. The RSS has also been acting like a politically immature and naive organization. Thus, even though the Pseudo Liberals do nothing for the poor apart from propounding the idea of a Communist India, they are able to project themselves as the savior of the poor. The RSS on the other is not able to present itself in such light even after doing everything for the Nation and the poor. Maybe it is time for RSS to concentrate on its public image because what the people think of RSS may have a telling effect on the future political discourse of India.
