Hindu Student of Aligarh Rescued After 14 Years, Accuses Munna Ansari of Kidnapping and Years of Abuse

A shocking case from Uttar Pradesh has resurfaced after a young woman, once a Hindu student of Aligarh, was rescued more than a decade after she first went missing. The survivor has accused a man named Munna Ansari of kidnapping her in 2012 and allegedly subjecting her to years of captivity and abuse. The case, which has now drawn renewed attention, has prompted a police investigation as authorities attempt to uncover the full sequence of events that kept the victim away from her family for fourteen long years.

The victim, a Hindu student of Aligarh, had reportedly disappeared in 2012 while she was pursuing her studies at the Kalyan Karoti Institute. According to her statement to the police, she had come into contact with Munna Ansari during that period. The accused allegedly befriended her by concealing his real identity and presenting himself with a Hindu name. Over time, the acquaintance developed into trust, which the victim now says was exploited to orchestrate her abduction.

According to the complaint, the Hindu student of Aligarh was allegedly kidnapped while on her way to attend college. She claims that Ansari forcibly took her to Kishanganj in Bihar, where she was kept in confinement for years. During this period, the victim has alleged that she was repeatedly threatened, assaulted, and denied any contact with her family or the outside world. Soon after she went missing in 2012, her family had filed a missing person report at the Govind Nagar Police Station in Mathura, but her whereabouts remained unknown for more than a decade.

The survivor has further alleged that she endured severe physical and psychological abuse during captivity. In her statement, the Hindu student of Aligarh accused Ansari of repeatedly assaulting her and keeping her under the influence of drugs to maintain control over her. She also told investigators that she was threatened with death if she attempted to escape or resist. According to her account, she was even pressured to participate in illegal activities such as drug trafficking, though she resisted these attempts.

Another disturbing allegation made by the Hindu student of Aligarh relates to religious coercion. She told the police that she was pressured to convert to Islam and was forced to perform religious practices against her will. Whenever she refused, she claims she was beaten. The survivor also alleged that personal religious symbols she carried, including a locket of Lord Shri Ram, were destroyed during her captivity. She further claimed that she was forced to consume beef, which she said was done deliberately to break her religious beliefs and resistance.

The dramatic breakthrough in the case came after the Hindu student of Aligarh managed to reach out to individuals outside her captivity. According to reports, she contacted Supreme Court advocate Dr. A.P. Singh and Rajwardhan Singh, the national president of Maharana Pratap Sena, through Facebook Messenger. This message set in motion efforts to locate her, which eventually led to her rescue. After nearly a month of efforts, she was brought to Mathura and taken to the police station, where her formal complaint was registered.

For the victim, the rescue marked the end of what she described as fourteen years of suffering and isolation. Speaking to the police after being freed, the Hindu student of Aligarh reportedly said she finally felt liberated from captivity and was determined to seek justice. She has urged authorities to take strict action against the accused and ensure accountability for the crimes she alleges were committed against her over the years.

Police officials have confirmed that an investigation has begun based on the victim’s complaint. Authorities are now examining the allegations of kidnapping, assault, forced religious conversion, and unlawful confinement. Investigators are also expected to gather evidence and verify the details of the survivor’s claims, including the locations where she was allegedly held and the timeline of events since 2012.

The case has once again highlighted the challenges surrounding long-term missing person cases in India, particularly when victims remain hidden for years before resurfacing. For the Hindu student of Aligarh, the road ahead may involve legal proceedings, recovery, and rebuilding a life interrupted by more than a decade of trauma.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities say the priority will be ensuring the survivor’s safety and delivering justice through due legal process. The outcome of the case may ultimately determine the accountability of the accused and bring closure to a story that began fourteen years ago with the sudden disappearance of a young student and has now re-emerged as a major criminal investigation.
