Treacherous Legacy of Congress : Betraying India, Embracing Pakistan

Treacherous Legacy of Congress : Betraying India, Embracing Pakistan
Share on FacebookShare on X

Prithviraj Chavan, the Congress veteran and former Maharashtra Chief Minister, has once again exposed the party’s deep-seated disdain for India’s national security. In a reckless press conference in Pune, he trashed Operation Sindoor, India’s bold retaliation to the horrific Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 innocent lives. Chavan brazenly claimed India suffered a “decisive setback” on day one, alleging a half-hour aerial clash saw Indian jets shot down, grounding the Air Force from bases like Gwalior, Bathinda, and Sirsa. “We were completely defeated,” he sneered, dismissing the operation’s success and questioning the need for India’s 12-lakh-strong army in an era of “aerial and missile warfare.”

This isn’t isolated folly; it’s Congress’s hallmark. Chavan’s venom echoes Rahul Gandhi’s earlier narrative, undermining the armed forces while amplifying Pakistani propaganda. Official briefings confirm Operation Sindoor’s triumph: over 100 terrorists obliterated using Rafale jets, SCALP missiles, and HAMMER munitions. Yet Congress peddles defeatism, ignoring government denials of any jet losses—claims twisted from a misrepresented defence attaché statement. Such rhetoric doesn’t just demoralize our jawans; it emboldens enemies across the border.

“Condemning Not Enough, LoP Should Apologise”: Rijiju Demands Congress Apology in Parliament Over ‘Kabar Khudegi’ Remark

Rewind to 2016’s surgical strikes across the Line of Control, avenging the Uri attack. Indian para commandos decimated terror launchpads in PoK, killing dozens of militants. The operation showcased precision and resolve under Modi. Congress? They scoffed. Rahul Gandhi demanded “proof,” implying the strikes were fabricated. Sonia Gandhi’s party questioned the Army’s valor, with leaders like Manish Tewari calling it “jingoism.” Even as DGMO briefings confirmed success, Congress MPs leaked sensitive details in Parliament, potentially aiding Pakistan’s ISI. This wasn’t skepticism; it was subversion. Congress’s then-defence minister A.K. Antony had earlier presided over a tenure riddled with scandals like the Adarsh scam, weakening military preparedness. When Pakistan denied casualties, Congress amplified their lies, sidelining India’s victory. Their playbook: belittle triumphs, question heroes, comfort adversaries.

Fast-forward to February 2019, post-Pulwama carnage where 40 CRPF jawans were martyred. India unleashed Balakot air strikes, pulverizing Jaish-e-Mohammed camps deep in Pakistan. Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman’s MiG-21 downed a Pakistani F-16, a feat buried under enemy spin. Congress recoiled in horror. Rahul Gandhi thundered that Modi was “provoking war,” while party stalwarts like Digvijaya Singh parroted Islamabad’s claim of “no damage.” They ignored satellite imagery and IAF confirmations of massive destruction. Instead, Congress MPs met Pakistani diplomats, leaking intel that could have compromised pilots. Manmohan Singh, the architect of a weak UPA era marked by 500+ ceasefire violations, stayed mum as his heirs undermined national morale. Pakistan’s PM Imran Khan gloated; Congress cheered from the sidelines, prioritizing partisan hate over patriotism.

Chavan’s barbs on Operation Sindoor fit this ignominious tradition. No ground incursions, he whines—just “purely aerial warfare.” So what? India dominated the skies, neutralizing terror hubs without a single kilometer conceded. Yet he fantasizes about slashing our army, as if Pakistan’s provocations demand anything less than full-spectrum strength. This from a party whose UPA rule saw Chinese incursions, 26/11 Mumbai attacks fumbled, and terror safe havens flourish under “peace” overtures to Pakistan. Congress’s history screams complicity. In 1971, Indira Gandhi triumphed over Pakistan, but her successors squandered gains with the Simla Agreement, letting war criminals roam free. The 1999 Kargil betrayal under Vajpayee saw Congress criticize even then, but post-victory, they hobnobbed with Musharraf. During Agni missile tests, Congress cried “destabilizing”; on BrahMos deals, they dragged feet.

Dig deeper: Congress has always prioritized Pakistan. Nehru’s Kashmir blunder gifted PoK to Jinnah. Rajiv Gandhi’s retreat from Siachen emboldened invaders. UPA’s Sharm el-Sheikh joint statement equated Balochistan terror with Mumbai26/11, a diplomatic surrender. They shielded ISI operatives, stalled dossiers on Hafiz Saeed, and vetoed UN sanctions. Rahul’s “surgical strike” barbs in Parliament? Treasonous glee. Chavan’s army-doubting drivel? Echoes of their 1962 China debacle defense. Congress MPs hobnobbing with Hurriyat separatists while soldiers bleed? Routine. Their 2024 election playbook: mock military ops to paint BJP weak.

India’s military stands tall despite Congress’s sabotage. From Vijay Diwas to Balakot, victories pile up under strong leadership. Yet this dynastic outfit—tainted by scams, dynasts, and defeatism—persistently undermines them. Chavan’s rant isn’t gaffe; it’s ideology. Congress doesn’t stand with India; it stands with Pakistan, peddling lies to erode resolve. Patriots must reject this poison. Demand accountability: prosecute leaks, bar anti-Army rhetoric. India rises when Congress falls silent. Operation Sindoor succeeded; so will consigning Congress to history’s dustbin.
