Ayodhya is once again ready to witness a moment of spiritual and national pride. Months after the soul-stirring Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla on January 22, 2024 the holy city is gearing up for another grand occasion  the flag hoisting (Ramdhwaj Arohan) ceremony at the Ram Mandir. Scheduled for November, the event will mark a symbolic and ceremonial high point in the construction of the magnificent temple dedicated to Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Ram. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to be the chief guest, underlining the event’s national importance.

The upcoming ceremony will witness the hoisting of the ‘Ramdhwaj’ atop the 161-foot-high shikhar (spire) of the Ram Mandir, symbolising the spiritual sovereignty and cultural resurgence of Sanatan Dharma. In addition to the main spire, flags will also be hoisted atop the other temple peaks within the complex. This will be accompanied by Vedic chants, music, elaborate rituals, and cultural performances, turning Ayodhya into a divine confluence of tradition and devotion.

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is making preparations on a war footing. Thousands of invitees are expected, including revered saints, global Hindu leaders, celebrities, and Ram Bhakts from across the globe. Ayodhya will once again transform into a spiritual capital, echoing with the name of Ram, as seen during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony earlier this year.

Two auspicious dates  November 16 and November 25  are under consideration for the ceremony, with astrologers being consulted to finalise the most divine timing.

Ram Mandir Construction: Shikhar Reaches for the Skies

According to Shri Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the temple construction committee, the 161-foot-high spire of the temple has entered its final phase of construction. The Ram temple is not just a place of worship, but a civilisational symbol  blending ancient architectural principles with modern engineering.

Alongside the main structure, seven additional temples dedicated to revered sages are being built within the larger complex. These shrines are progressing simultaneously and are also slated for completion within the same timeframe. Together, these structures will stand as a tribute to Bharat’s rishis and the dharmic legacy they carried.

The temple’s grand design, carved intricately with sandstone, reflects India’s architectural brilliance and spiritual continuity.

Ayodhya’s Transformation: From Sacred Town to Global Pilgrimage Hub

With the Ram Mandir at its core, Ayodhya is undergoing rapid transformation. Over 3 crore devotees visited the temple since the Pran Pratishtha in January last year, bringing an estimated ₹1,400 crore in tourism revenue to the region. Infrastructure projects worth ₹30,000 crore are underway to reshape the city into a global spiritual destination.

Major developments include:

  • A state-of-the-art Ayodhya Dham Railway Station
  • Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, already partially operational
  • Enhanced road connectivity and public transport systems
  • Improved accommodation facilities including hotels, dharmshalas, and tent cities

The city’s economy has seen a major boost, with employment generation in hospitality, logistics, and tourism. The Uttar Pradesh government, under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is ensuring that Ayodhya receives the infrastructure and sanctity it deserves as the birthplace of Lord Ram.

Pran Pratishtha: A Cultural and Spiritual Milestone

The Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla on January 22, 2024, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marked a monumental moment in India’s spiritual journey. Millions across the world watched as the murti of Ram Lalla was consecrated amid Vedic hymns and sacred rituals. The Prime Minister performed the rituals himself, invoking the spirit of devotion and national unity.

The event was not just religious, but deeply emotional, uniting Hindus across the globe. Ram Bhakts wept, danced, and chanted Jai Shri Ram in every corner of India. The consecration ceremony also officially opened the temple doors for pilgrims, leading to an unprecedented influx of devotees in the months that followed.

Ram Mandir – A Beacon of Bharat’s Civilisational Reawakening

The flag hoisting ceremony in November will not just be a religious event  it will be a continuation of Bharat’s spiritual resurgence. From court battles to grand consecration, and now towards temple completion, the Ram Mandir stands as a symbol of dharma, unity, and national pride.

Under the visionary leadership of PM Modi and with support from the people, Ayodhya is emerging as a centre of faith, economy, and global attention. The Ramdhwaj rising over the 161-foot shikhar will not just mark the victory of Lord Ram, but the renaissance of India’s ancient identity.

As Ayodhya prepares for yet another chapter of glory, the world will witness a saffron sky  flying high with devotion, determination, and divine grace.
