With the Bihar Assembly elections just a few months away, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bihar’s Siwan district on Friday, where he is set to launch and lay the foundation stone for a series of infrastructure and development projects worth ₹5,700 crore.
This will be his second visit to Bihar in less than a month and his fifth since January, signalling how seriously and strategically the NDA is approaching the upcoming polls.
Modi has chosen Siwan district for this visit, a region of strong political symbolism. Once considered the stronghold of late RJD leader Mohammad Shahabuddin, Siwan is expected to witness unveiling of key projects during PM Modi’s visit.
With Bihar gearing up for Assembly elections, the BJP-led NDA is preparing to nominate a significant majority of its candidates from OBCs, EBCs, SCs, and Mahadalit communities.
This strategy follows an extensive analysis of all 243 constituencies in the state, aimed at strengthening and expanding the NDA’s voter base. The approach is part of the alliance’s broader plan to counter the INDIA bloc and tap into Bihar’s deeply rooted caste dynamics.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to address a public gathering around noon following the inauguration.
