The Demand of ‘de-escalation’ Is a Shield for Terror, Not a Call for Peace

Anyone raising de-escalation demands sheds no tears for human life, but only for Islamist life. These are the same lot who would not lift a finger bashing Pakistan for sponsoring and using Islamist terrorism as a means to grab innocent Hindu/Indian lives. For years, they showed no concern when innocent Hindu bodies were torn apart by barbaric Pakistan-supported terrorism. Did we ever see these very voices agitating against Pakistan and Islamism? No! These are the same people whose veins run with Hinduphobia and anti-India hatred. They are the ones who have consistently raised their evil voices for the separation of Kashmir from India. These are the voices that seek the balkanization of India. These are the ones who want to rewrite the entire narrative portraying Pakistan as some kind of a victim to India’s aggression. They are the ones who want to see Indians suffer the deepest pain a human can endure. Surprisingly, the “de-escalation” narrative did not emerge from the baskets of the Islamo-Leftist ecosystem when the Pakistan Army, without any provocation, launched attacks in Poonch district attacks that claimed the lives of civilians, including children. There were no calls for peace then, no op-eds or tweets by Indian Leftists lamenting the loss of innocent lives. The silence was deafening.

I am a pacifist
Don’t be afraid to say it.

— T M Krishna (@tmkrishna) May 7, 2025

Peace is patriotism. War is destruction.
Borders don’t bleed—people do.

Stop the war.

Deescalate NOW !!!

— Arfa Khanum Sherwani (@khanumarfa) May 8, 2025

DE-ESCALATE!!

— Pratik Sinha (@free_thinker) May 8, 2025

Yet, the moment India retaliates with precision through Operation Sindoor, eliminating over 100 terrorists and destroying jihadist infrastructure, the very same lobby erupts in alarmist cries of war-mongering, triggering nuclear tensions, and loss of innocent lives. But whose innocence are they mourning? Certainly not the Indian civilians martyred in Pahalgam, or the thousands lost in decades of cross-border terrorism. No, their grief awakens only when the Indian military strikes back. That is when their moral compass spins in overdrive.] They shamelessly invoke the legacy of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s “restraint” post the 2008 Mumbai attacks, praising his government’s inaction as an example of statesmanship. But let’s ask the hard question: Did that inaction stop terrorism? Did Manmohan Singh’s restraint prevent Pakistani jihadists from continuing their bloody campaign in India? The record shows otherwise. India witnessed terror attack after terror attack from Gurdaspur to Uri to Pulwama while the Islamo-leftist intelligentsia clung to their hollow peace narrative.

In the end everybody will realize that Dr. Manmohan Singh’s response to terrorist attack on 26/11 had far positive consequences than what is being done today.

They romanticize inaction and pacifism as noble ideals but fail to acknowledge that this so-called “restraint” cost India thousands of innocent lives. Worse still, they never raised their voices against the perpetrators. Not a word against Lashkar-e-Taiba, not a whisper against Jaish-e-Mohammed, and certainly not a line of condemnation for Pakistan’s military-intelligence nexus that nurtures this terror apparatus. Their double standards are glaring. When Indian soldiers are beheaded, they seek negotiations. When terrorists bomb trains, they recommend dialogue. When jihadi bullets rip through pilgrims, they appeal for ceasefire. Their obsession with shielding Islamist actors under the garb of “peace” exposes a disturbing reality, they are more uncomfortable with Indian resistance than Pakistani aggression. Operation Sindoor is not just a military action, it is a civilizational statement.  The Islamo-Leftist lobby, in all its intellectual arrogance, has once again revealed where its true sympathies lie, and it is not with the people of India.
