In a highly tragic accident, two Telangana Indian nationals were brutally murdered in an attack at a bakery in Dubai at the hands of a Pakistani national who, according to reports, was shouting Islamic slogans while committing the assault. The victims of the murder have been named as Ashtapu Premsagar (35), a Soan village native of Nirmal district, and Srinivas of Nizamabad district. A third individual, named Sagar, sustained injuries in the attack.
According to family members and media reports, the shocking incident took place on April 11 at Modern Bakery LLC, where all the victims were employed. Premsagar’s uncle, A. Poshetty, stated that his nephew was attacked with a sword. Premsagar had been employed at the bakery for the last five to six years and had previously visited his family two years ago. The reason behind the attack is being investigated by local authorities in Dubai.
The horrific murder has left the families of the victims and Telangana communities shocked. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was deeply saddened by the tragedy. Posting on social media, he reported that he had spoken to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who had promised complete support to the grieving families and assured immediate action to repatriate the mortal remains to India.
“Deeply shocked by the brutal killing of two Telugu youth from Telangana in Dubai, Ashtapu Premsagar from Nirmal district and Srinivas from Nizamabad district,” Reddy wrote, expressing his condolences and promising assistance from the state government.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, also voiced his sorrow and said he had been in contact with officials from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). He assured that Union Home Ministry officials were keeping a close watch and in touch with the Indian Consulate in Dubai.
The Indian Consulate has approached Dubai Police to hasten their investigation and enable the speedy repatriation of the bodies of the victims to India. The MEA has stated that justice would be sought vigorously, and every possible assistance would be given to the bereaved families at this moment of grief.
