Following last year’s violence on November 24, heightened security arrangements have been implemented in Sambhal to ensure a peaceful Juma-e-Wida (Alvida Juma) on Friday. The police administration has divided the sensitive city into six zones and 13 sectors, deploying zonal and sector magistrates for strict monitoring. It has been made clear by authorities that Juma-e-Wida namaz will be performed only in mosques and Idgahs and will not be allowed on roads and rooftops. Even government regulations about loudspeakers will be adhered to stringently. Security officials, including the Rapid Response Force (RRF), Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), and police, are going on foot patrol in the city to ensure law and order.

Enhanced Security and Traffic Restrictions
In light of past incidents, additional security forces have been deployed in mixed and densely populated areas. The entry of vehicles on Dakkhana Road from Tandon Tiraha has been restricted to prevent congestion. ASP Dr. Shrishchandra disclosed that the security staff are properly equipped, with sequential zone and sector control in place. On Thursday night, City Kotwal Anuj Tomar joined a foot march of police, PAC, and RRF along vulnerable points, including Sarafa Bazaar, Changmal, and Nakhasa Tiraha, duly keeping close watch.
Appeal for Peace and Harmony
Imam Maulana Aftab Hussain Warsi of Sambhal Jama Masjid asked the citizens to pray for peace, brotherhood, and harmony. He stressed that namaz should be offered only at designated places and asked people not to congregate on roads. The Imam also warned the public against believing in rumors and cooperating with the authorities.
Maulana Warsi emphasized that Ramzan instills patience and oneness, urging all to spread peaceful messages. Qari Maulana Rashid Ali also demanded that social harmony be preserved and asked people to pray sincerely for the well-being of the nation and society.
With all these extensive security measures, the government is ensuring that Juma-e-Wida prayers are being conducted peacefully and according to rules. The administration is keeping its vigil tight, with day and night monitoring to prevent any unfortunate events and maintain peace in the city.
