Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann condemned the Grenade attack and linked it to broader attempts to destabilize the state. He pointed out that similar incidents, including drug trafficking, are often orchestrated to disturb Punjab’s peace.
“Pakistan is regularly pushing drones and engaging in activities to create unrest. But Punjab Police is proactive and well-equipped to handle such threats,” Mann stated.
Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring expressed concern over the worsening security situation. Describing the attack as another heart-wrenching episode, he demanded the AAP-run state government act fast and decisively to instill public trust.
Governments have asked residents to keep calm while security agencies increase efforts to follow up the culprits. The investigation, conducted using CCTV footage and other evidence, is still in progress. Police institutions are not leaving any stone unturned in order to deliver justice and tighten security arrangements in the entire region.
