The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), an organization intended to provide humanitarian aid, has instead been exposed as a vehicle for funneling billions of taxpayer dollars to terrorist organizations, particularly Hamas. Since October 7, 2023, over $2 billion has been directed to support Hamas, the terrorist entity responsible for invading southern Israel, according to testimony before a US House Committee.
Representative Tim Burchett revealed in a hearing that USAID has been sending $40 million per week to the Taliban, with other U.S. foreign aid reaching groups such as Al-Shabaab, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad. Michael Roman, testifying before Congress, confirmed that USAID bypassed standard screening procedures by issuing emergency waivers, allowing funds to flow unvetted into Gaza, where 90% of the aid ended up in Hamas-controlled areas. Instead of ensuring humanitarian relief for innocent civilians, USAID’s assistance directly bolstered Hamas’s survival until the recent ceasefire.

Representative Eric Burlison did not hold back in his condemnation of USAID, calling it a “disgraceful betrayal of the American taxpayer.” He slammed the agency for acting as a left-wing slush fund that promotes climate activism, radical DEI programs, and terrorist support under the false pretense of charity.
Government foreign aid, he argued, has turned into a political tool, enriching the very enemies of the United States. The backlash against USAID has been intense, with figures such as Elon Musk labeling it a “criminal organization” and former President Donald Trump previously calling it “run by radical lunatics.” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has accused the agency of functioning as a CIA front, citing its role in the 2014 Ukrainian revolution and its financial backing of Volodymyr Zelensky’s rise to power.
USAID’s Long Track Record of Malfeasance
USAID’s misallocation of funds is not limited to Hamas. Its tentacles stretch worldwide, funding leftist propaganda, destabilization efforts, and even religious subversion. Some of the most egregias also found financing the Pakistan-based Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF), a known front for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), the group responsible for the 2008 Mumbai attacks. FIF continued to receive funds via Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD), a Michigan-based organization linked to jihadist groups. Despite clear evidence, USAID ignored these concerns and funneled millions to groups supporting terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
4. Paying Hollywood Stars to Prop Up Ukraine– Reports indicate that USAID paid Hollywood celebrities millions of dollars to publicly support Ukraine amid its conflict with Russia. Sean Penn, Orlando Bloom, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Ben Stiller, and Angelina Jolie were among those allegedly receiving large sums to promote pro-Ukraine propaganda. With President Donald Trump now freezing USAID’s funding, panic has spread among Ukrainian media outlets that had relied on these disbursements.
5. USAID Funding the BBC– Despite being presented as an independent media organization, BBC’s funding records revealed that USAID provided £2.6 million in 2023-24. This directly undermines the BBC’s claims of neutrality, exposing it as a mouthpiece for U.S. government interests rather than an unbiased news source.
Time to Dismantle USAID
The staggering volume of corruption within USAID, from aiding Hamas to funding radical leftist initiatives, confirms that the agency serves no benefit to anyone other than the Islamo-Leftist ecosystem. Under the Biden administration, USAID has become a global destabilization tool, propping up terrorist networks.
