Till 11 AM, early trends show that the BJP is poised to make a spectacular return to Delhi following a 27-year exile, “sweeping” the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) from office after a ten-year rule.
According to the trends, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took a serious hit to its vote total. After the 8th round of counting, Kejriwal himself is trailing against Parvesh Sahib Singh from the New Delhi seat.
Kejriwal, who is claimed to be the most prominent and influential mass leader in Delhi, is struggling in his assembly constituency. He is barely managing to hold on to a thin margin of a few hundred votes. With five rounds still to go, humiliating electoral defeat is very much on the cards.
The reason behind his declining image is his own failure as a leader. He has been involved in corruption and sent to jail before the election. In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, Arvind Kejriwal secured victory by defeating Sunil Kumar Yadav (BJP) with a margin of 21,697 votes. But in 20255, he is trailing. This is enough to understand that the people of Delhi outrightly rejected Arvind Kejriwal and his party.

Big leaders of AAP, such as Atishi, Manish Sisodia and Saurabh Bhardwaj, are either trailing behind or have significantly less lead. However, only five rounds of vote counting are remaining, and the chances of a bounce back look impossible.
Kejriwal’s political career looks dark as he faces new challenges to keep his party intact. He did not fulfil the promises that he had made to the Delhi public but started meddling with other governments, such as in Panjab. Kejriwal said he would not take the official house but start living in Sheeshmahal after winning the election. He said he would decrease strain on the poor and middle class of Delhi but did nothing for them. The problem of water and electricity persisted in the Delhi society, which caused a significant dent in Kejriwal and his party.
