On Wednesday (2nd January 2025) morning, a Tesla Cybertruck carrying fireworks exploded outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. The explosion killed the driver and injured seven others. The incident occurred at 8:40 am local time in the hotel’s valet area. Videos from witnesses showed the truck bursting into flames, with the blast directed upwards rather than outward. The Police are probing whether the incident has any link with the New Orleans terror attack, or whether it is a terror act, netizens have called out the factually incorrect and malicious reporting by the Western media, often dubbed as Legacy media.
As per the information so far, the blast in the Las Vegas incident took outside the Trump International Hotel, a politically significant place for the occurence of such kind of crime/incident. The place of occurence suggest that there could be more that what meets the eye. In the meantime, Police discovered firework mortars and camp fuel canisters loaded into the truck bed which is being said to be the trigger for the blast, however, the intensity of which was seemingly muted down by the metalic body of the Tesla Cybertruck.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police: “I have to thank Elon Musk.
He gave us quite a bit of additional information in regards to how the vehicle was locked after it exploded.
As well as being able to capture all the video from the Tesla’s charging stations across the country.” pic.twitter.com/a7GnGxcH3V

Yet, the western media reported about the incident as if the explosion took off due to Tesla’s failure, shifting the narrative further from the truth that it can be a terrorist attack.
Consequently, when an X user flagged the factually incorrect reporting of the Western media, Elon Musk agreed to the user’s assertion that it was time to sue them for spinning a seemingly ‘terror attack’ as a ‘Tesla Cybertruck blast’.
Maybe it is time to do so https://t.co/2i4q5QZOUn

Incidentally, in one of our last videos, TFI had flagged the emerging menace of organised headline narrative building by the Western media to propagate a completely baseless and malicious narrative.
The details of the Las Vegas blast that took off outside Trump International Hotel
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and the Clark County Fire Department confirmed that the driver of the truck died in the explosion. Seven people nearby sustained minor injuries, and several were taken to the hospital. Authorities worked to retrieve the driver’s body from the vehicle.
The Cybertruck was reportedly rented via the Turo app. Police discovered firework mortars and camp fuel canisters loaded into the truck bed. The truck bed walls and windows remained intact due to the upward direction of the explosion. The hotel’s glass doors were undamaged.
FBI special agent Jeremy Schwartz said, “We don’t have a lot of answers at this time. Our number one goal is to identify the driver and determine if this was an act of terrorism.”
Las Vegas Police assured the public that there was no ongoing threat. A spokesperson said, “At approximately 8:40 am, reports were received of a vehicle explosion. One person inside the Cybertruck was killed, and seven others were injured. Authorities have confirmed there is no further threat to the community.”
The explosion occurred hours after ISIS-inspired attack took place in New Orleans, where a driver rammed a truck into a crowd and opened fire, killing at least 15 people. Both vehicles were reportedly rented through the Turo app. The FBI is investigating any possible link between the two incidents.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk addressed the incident on social media. He wrote, “The whole Tesla senior team is investigating this matter right now. We’ve never seen anything like this.”

Musk added, “Appears likely to be an act of terrorism. Both this Cybertruck and the F-150 suicide bomb in New Orleans were rented from Turo. Perhaps they are linked in some way.”
He also highlighted the strength of the Cybertruck, saying, “The evil knuckleheads picked the wrong vehicle for a terrorist attack. Cybertruck actually contained the explosion and directed the blast upwards. Not even the glass doors of the lobby were broken.”
In another post, Musk confirmed the cause of the explosion, stating, “We have now confirmed that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself. All vehicle telemetry was positive at the time of the explosion.”

FBI officials stated that they had identified the driver, who rented the vehicle in Colorado. However, they have not publicly disclosed the driver’s identity. Authorities are focused on determining whether the explosion was a terrorist act.
The Trump International Hotel was evacuated, and guests were relocated to other accommodations. The public was advised to avoid the explosion site as investigations continued. A spokesperson for Clark County said, “There is no further threat to the community.”
The explosion outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas is under intense investigation by federal and local authorities. With connections being probed between this incident and the New Orleans attack, the FBI and Tesla are working diligently to uncover the motive and details behind these tragic events.
