On Thursday (January 16), around 2:30 AM, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Bandra West residence in Mumbai. Saif sustained injuries in the attack and is currently receiving treatment at Lilavati Hospital. The assailant reportedly attacked Saif multiple times with a sharp weapon, and his condition is said to be stable. The attacker had entered Saif’s home with the intent of stealing, and the housemaid had caught sight of him. Saif and Kareena Kapoor’s residence has tight security, with both building guards and their personal security personnel stationed there.
What did the Police Say?
According to ANI, Mumbai police stated that an unidentified person entered Saif Ali Khan’s home late at night and had an argument with the housemaid. When Saif attempted to intervene, the intruder attacked him, injuring him in the process. DCP Dikshit Gedam of Mumbai Police’s Zone 9 mentioned that the investigation is ongoing. Media reports suggest that the police are looking into several aspects, including whether the attacker was familiar with the housemaid. The police believe that the intruder entered through the maid’s room and then moved to the children’s room.

What Did the Hospital Say?
According to Hindustan Times, Dr. Neeraj Uttamani, the COO of Lilavati Hospital, stated that Saif Ali Khan was brought to the hospital around 3:30 AM and had sustained six injuries, two of which were deep. He mentioned, “One injury is near his spine, and another is on his neck. We are performing surgery on him.” Another doctor confirmed that a piece of a knife was found in Saif’s body, and investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of the damage caused by it.
What Did the actor’s team say?
Saif Ali Khan’s team issued a statement regarding the attack, saying, “A robbery attempt was made at Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently undergoing surgery at the hospital, and this is a matter under police investigation.” They asked the media and fans to remain patient.
Kareena Kapoor’s team also released a statement regarding the incident. It said, “A robbery attempt was made at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s residence last night. Saif Ali Khan has sustained injuries to his hand, and he is currently admitted to the hospital for treatment. The rest of the family members are fine.” The statement further requested the media and fans to stay patient and not speculate, as the police are already conducting an investigation.
