Rapes and Terrorism are synonyms to the state of Pakistan. While the world casts its laser beam focus and weeps for Palestianians, the Islamic State of Pakistan is continuing to pour the worst of the atrocities upon its religious minorities, with the Hindus facing the major brunt of it followed by Christian community. On the latest, according to a Pakistani Christian activist named Faraz Pervaiz, which is now going viral on social media, the Kasur city Police is not filing a complaint of a gangrape victim who hail from the Christian community.
According to Pervaiz, the heinous incident took place on the 6th of January, 2025 when a Christian girl named Natasha was gangraped by a group comprising around 8 to 10 Muslim men in the Kasur city of Pakistan.
It is reported that Natasha was abducted from her house, gang-raped, and then left lying unconscious and naked in the streets.
The Pakistani Christian activist shared updates of the case earlier this morning (on 9th January) adding that the accused broke her neck. Currently, the victim is in critical condition battling for her life. It is being said that 8 to 10 men were involved in the crime and that the police, when approached, refused to register a First Information Report (FIR) against the perpetrators. Shockingly none of the mainstream media of Pakistan took up the case of Natasha in order to help her get justice. The Pakistani mainstream media has been notorious for toeing the dictations of the establishment and peddling a sanitised narrative to not ruffle feathers with the Pakistani army and/or its choosen stooges in Islamabad. As part of the same drive, it is often blacked out or scantly reported on such heinous crimes against the Hindu or other religious minorities in Pakistan.

However, Natasha’s case is not something which happens to Pakistan’s religious minorities once in a blue moon. Repeated cases keeps coming up from Pakistan where rapes, murders, forced conversions are metted out against the minority community solely for their religion. Earlier on the 31st of December, another Christian girl named Minahil, a student at the Asan School System in Faisal Town, was raped by Muhammad Hassan, a school worker at the educational facility which escalated religious tensions.

The month of September too brought along with itself a similar devastating case surrounding the minority community when a Hindu girl was kidnapped, raped, forcibly converted to Islam, and married off to a Muslim man. This incident took place a few days after a similar case involving a 12-year-old Christian girl, who was abducted, forcibly converted to Islam, and married to a Muslim man. The trend is there for all to see, however, in some cases, even the court had played enabler/facilitator in this oppressive conversion racket.
These consecutive cases highlight the escalating crisis faced by religious minorities in Pakistan, where such atrocities are becoming distressingly frequent. The ordeal endured by this young girl reflects a broader issue in the country, where women and girls, particularly from minority communities, are subjected to various forms of abuse, including sexual violence, abduction, forced marriage, captivity, and profound psychological distress.
