A couple of days ago, news of Saif Ali Khan being attacked by an intruder caused alarm in the nation. It especially grabbed attention because of its high-profile nature and raised concern for the security of celebrities. After massive efforts, now the Mumbai Police has arrested the accused.

The police arrested him from Thane and he has been identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad. He used to work at Ricky’s Bar there.

Providing additional details, DCP Dikshitkumar Ashok Gedam, Zone-IX, Mumbai Police said, “His name is Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, he is 30 years old. He entered the house with the intention of theft. The accused will be presented in the court. We will make a request for police custody. We doubt that the accused is of Bangladesh origin, hence appropriate sections have been applied. Investigation is going on. He does not have valid Indian documents, ..some seizures which indicate that he is a Bangladesh national. He changed his name, he was living as Vijay Das for the last 5-6 months. He came to Mumbai and then moved to other areas in the vicinity of Mumbai. He came back to Mumbai 15 days back. He was working in a housekeeping agency.”

The accused’s Bangladeshi identity has opened a new realm of debate over their easy access to India. Illegal Bangladeshi migration is a big threat to India’s internal security. The seriousness of the case once again explores this reality despite being downplayed by Islamo-leftist cabal.

There has been a strong resentment among the Indian citizens regarding them. As poll campaigns are going on in Delhi, this has been a key issue. Delhi is filled with a huge number of such illegal migrants who get easy access in India because a section of people facilitate them. This section of people find allegiance to their Islamic identity important over the national identity.

The Delhi Police has recently busted a nexus and revealed how they infiltrated, and with logistical support, they were granted IDs including voter ID and Aadhaar Card.

It is these Bangladeshi immigrants, Rohingya Muslims who illegally enter into Indian territory, exploit our resources and then hurt our own, spiking the crime rate and even vitiating and threatening the country’s social fabric. A person who illegally enters into a different country and then commits burglary in one of the most renowned persons is a perfect manifestation of how appeasement politics have emboldened the confidence of these illegals that they have abject contempt to the Indian laws.

Besides, the intruder first told his name to be Vijay Das. Taking a Hindu identity to commit crime is not new as from Azmal Kasab to this illegal Bangladeshi it has been the Islamists’ best card to play. The accused’s statements to police tell a clear story that he was well groomed by his patrons who would have facilitated him with all requisites.

Attack on Saif Ali Khan must not be seen in isolation, if the intruder was Bangladeshi. It is a major threat that is plaguing India.

Last year in June, in Bangalore, a minor girl was raped and the accused was identified as a Bangladeshi intruder. His history in India was shocking. According to reports, Shahin Shaik was first involved in an ATM theft case. Report quoting human rights activists stated that these illegal Bangladeshi commit crime deliberately and obtain bail to continue to stay in India on the pretext of facing court cases. Shanik reportedly has three wives also.

The claim by activists is chilling as against the progressive mindset of Indians that they are dealing with are the retarded bunch of criminals whose only motive is to stay here no matter what.

In another case in 2022, 11 illegal Bangladeshis were convicted for life for gangraping a woman in Bangalore.

Moreover, in West Bengal and North Eastern states, there are scores of such criminals who illegally cross into India and commit crime. Last year’s chaos in highly peaceful Himachal Pradesh was also guided by the issue of illegal migrants.

In September 2024, Himachal Pradesh’s Minister of Rural Development Anirudh Singh made a serious revelation about illegal migrants in the Himalayan state. Speaking in the Assembly, he said the tension was rising in some areas due to rapid construction by illegal migrants who he suggested could be Rohingya and people from Bangladesh. He even went to the extent of saying that he personally knew some Bangladeshis living in the state.

The issue is bigger than what we may perceive it to be. And even more concerning is the thought process of these Bangladeshis and those in India who facilitate them. It is no wrong to call these facilitators as anti-India elements whose priority is not their country but their religion.

And hence, there is an urgent need for the NRC that has been pushed on the backseat courtesy of the ruling party succumbing in the face of opposition’s communal politics in the garb of political correctness, timing and whataboutery. In fact, it is a larger problem posing a threat around the world. Any action against anti-national elements first have to pass through the touchstone of political correctness. The victim card played by Islamists has instilled deterrence among the top brass of almost every country which has given a free run to these Islamists and the cabal has been vouching for these Islamists.

It is recommended that the government realise why it was elected in the first place and what tough stance kept them at the treasury bench. If such a high profile case can’t give them the plank to sieve out the illegal Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Burmese migrants and implement NRC, the upcoming worst won’t even give them a chance.
