The newly elected President of the United States Donald Trump is extending his hands to unapologetically stand firm with United States most reliable ally, Israel. Donald Trump on 2nd December has issued a stark warning, declaring that there would be “hell to pay” in the Middle East if hostages held in the Gaza strip are not freed before his January 20, 2025, inauguration.
During October 2023 terrorist attacks led by Hamas upon Israel, the terrorist group captured over 250 innocent individuals, with Israeli reports confirming dual Israeli-American nationals among the hostages. Currently, around 101 foreign and Israeli hostages remain in captivity, though only half are believed to be alive.
Addressing the issue of the hostages held in Gaza Strip explicitly for the first time since his election, Donald Trump emphasized that the perpetrators would face an unprecedented response from the United States He said ” If the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date that I proudly assume office as President of the United States, there will be ‘all hell to pay’ in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity.”
“Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied history of the United States of America”, he further added.
Meanwhile, the terrorist group Hamas has demanded an end to the ongoing war and Israel’s complete withdrawal from Gaza as part of any hostage release negotiations. Hamas has also claimed that 33 of the total hostages held had lost their lives during the ongoing conflict.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, however, has vowed to continue the offensive until Hamas is dismantled.
In October 2023, the terrorist group Hamas opened up attacks against Israel that left 1,200 Israelis lose their precious life, thousands injured and 250 were being held hostage by Hamas.
