Former Union Minister and MP from Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency, Anurag Thakur, along with fellow party MPs Bansuri Swaraj and Hemang Joshi lodged a complaint against Rahul Gandhi for pushing and injuring BJP MPs. The FIR has been lodged under sections 109, 115, 117, 125, 131 and 351 at Sansad Marg police station. Slamming the Leader of the Opposition, Thakur said that “arrogant Rahul Gandhi considers himself above the law”.
The Former Union government added, “A very unfortunate incident was carried out in Parliament today by the Congress Party and its leaders. Congress and Rahul Gandhi have a habit of violating the law. Arrogant Rahul Gandhi considers himself above the law. Today, we filed a complaint of assault and provocation against Rahul Gandhi, where we mentioned in detail the incident that happened outside the Makar Gate of the Parliament House. Where NDA MPs were protesting peacefully, and Rahul Gandhi ji pushed them and injured them, due to which two BJP MPs were hospitalized. We have filed a complaint against Rahul Gandhi under sections 109, 115, 117, 125, 131 and 351. They have a habit of violating the law.”
Complaint filed under sections of attempt to murder. The complaint was given under section 109 of Bhartiya Nyay Sanghita. Even after the incident, Rahul Gandhi’s ego did not break, and he left without meeting the MPs. Rahul Gandhi considers himself above the law.
He also said, “Congress is acting like a rattled cat. This behaviour of Rahul Gandhi is not only irresponsible. But it also challenges parliamentary dignity and law and order. This is the same Rahul Gandhi who tears the ordinances of his own government. This is the same Congress which repeatedly insulted Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Congress and other allies protest every day. Today, when BJP MPs came to protest, Rahul Gandhi and his MPs forcibly entered there and started a physical demonstration. We were exposing the lies of Congress in a peaceful manner.”
He continued further, “Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi marched towards that place with the MPs of the I.N.D.I. alliance and when the security personnel told him not to do so, Rahul Gandhi expressed anger about that. He marched with his party among the NDA MPs and also instigated his colleagues. He proceeded with a malicious attitude. He knew he could get hurt. Mukesh Rajput ji fell on his head in that blow, and Pratap Chandra Sarangi ji’s head got injured. Rahul Gandhi was involved in physical attack and instigation. He did not follow the pre-decided path. Used party force, instigated his colleagues, due to which two MPs suffered serious injuries.”
During the Parliament proceedings this morning, BJP MPs protested, accusing Congress of insulting Babasaheb Ambedkar. Anurag Thakur, along with fellow MPs, took part in the anti-Congress protest and raised slogans like India will not tolerate insults of BabaSaheb. Congress, Gandhi family and murderers of the Constitution should apologe.
While addressing media, Anurag Thakur said, “History is witness to how the Nehru-Gandhi family repeatedly insulted Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar ji. Today, the fourth generation of those who had themselves come to defeat Nehru ji and Ambedkar ji in the elections have to roam around carrying the photo of Baba Saheb. Congress is spreading lies and confusion in the name of the Constitution and Baba Saheb, but the truth is that Congress has always ignored the contribution of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Indira Gandhi honoured themselves with Bharat Ratna, Rajiv ji got Bharat Ratna in the Congress government, but BR Ambedkar ji was not given Bharat Ratna even after his death.
For those unversed, Baba Saheb Ambedkar was bestowed Bharat Ratna when the Janata Dal government was in power with the support of the BJP. Over the last decade, the Modi government has given Baba Saheb his due respect. His government built Panch Teerth in Mau, Nagpur, Mumbai, Delhi, and London. He also started marking Constitution Day and declared it a national holiday on his birth anniversary.
