As extremist elements in Canada continue to rise, the Justin Trudeau led administration is bent on fanning the flames while empowering Khalistani radicals. In a post on X, the Hindu Forum of Canada highlighted how partisan history is being taught in schools. The move is expected to lead to a further radicalization of the youth by giving them a skewed version of history while glorifying Khalistani terrorists like Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
The Hindu Forum Canada is a non-profit organization working to ensure that the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms is upheld for all communities. It is also a movement that seeks to eradicate Hinduphobia from Canada.
Taking to the social media site X (Twitter), the Hindu Forum informed about the alarming situation in Canadian schools where school children are being told to write poetry about Sikh riots, and the winners of such a contest are invited to a building named after the Khalistani Khalistani Hardeep Singh Nijjar, “We recently learned that École Salish Secondary has launched a contest for grades 8-12 to write poetry about the 1984 Sikh riots, with winners invited to Bhai Shaheed Hardeep Singh Nijjar Building (Guru Nanak Singh Gurdwara). While we recognize the significance of addressing this event, it’s crucial that all historical events are represented accurately.”
The Hindu organization also indicated that political beliefs are being taught in schools, an idea that is being pushed by certain groups, “The 1984 Sikh riots, like any act of violence, resulted in the loss of innocent lives, and their stories must be told with sensitivity and precision. Education should equip students with critical thinking skills and prepare them for the complexities of the world. However, we face the challenge of groups pushing for political beliefs to be taught in schools.”

One-sided History being taught in Canada
The forum also pointed out that the schools are busy teaching the sectarian history of India while omitting one of the most crucial moments of Canadian history, the bombing of Air India Flight 182, the 1985 tragedy that claimed the lives of 329 people. the bombing is also the deadliest terror attack in Canadian history. The mastermind behind the bombing was believed to be Inderjit Singh Reyat, a dual British-Canadian national, who pleaded guilty in 2003, and Talwinder Singh Parmar, a Canadian Khalistani terrorist, who was associated with the Khalistani terrorist group Babbar Khalsa.
It said, “Public education, funded by taxpayers, must navigate these differences to serve all children. A crucial part of this is the accurate teaching of Canadian history, including tragic events like the bombing of Air India Flight 182, which remains underrepresented in school curricula. This was a Canadian tragedy, claiming 329 innocent lives on June 23, 1985, in an act of terror, and every one of those individuals, with their own families and communities, was a valuable part of our nation, Canadian citizens. We must ensure that both the Air India bombing and the 1984 riots are included in history lessons, honoring all lives lost and ensuring that this dark chapter is part of our collective memory.”
The Hindu organization’s statement concluded by stressing the fact that school children should be taught a balanced version of history where all events are taught in an equal manner, “Education should empower students to think critically, question narratives, and engage in thoughtful discussions. However, this cannot happen if the information they receive is one-sided or incomplete. As public education involves public funds, it is crucial that we strive for a curriculum that reflects a balanced, unbiased understanding of history. We urge the school board to ensure that our children are taught a full and accurate history, including events such as the Air India Flight 182 tragedy and the 1984 riots to foster an environment of learning that values every life and every story equally.”
Indian External Affairs Ministry has slammed Justin Trudeau’s government for providing a haven for Khalistani extremists and radicals who are operating in the country without any hindrance. Instead of tackling these divisive forces, Trudeau is focused on attacking India, targeting Indian agencies and individuals, just to appease his Khalistani vote bank. This move has put the Hindus in Canada under severe threat. Only recently Hindu temples were targeted by Khalistani goons.
Through this post, the Hindu community has pointed out that the radicalization of Canadian society is reaching an extreme level with divisive one-sided narratives now being taught in schools. This will only result in more sectarian tensions and clashes, the Trudeau government is facilitating and promoting the kind of hatred that will only result in ripping apart the threads of Canadian society.
