In a shocking case ten illegal Pakistani immigrants were arrested by the Karnataka Police. The culprits had links with the Mehdi Foundation International (MFI) and had been living in different parts of the country with fake Hindu identities. The Police further informed that now a total of 18 people have been arrested. The culprits had links with the MFI which had helped them get fake identification documents. A number of the illegals were living under the name of ‘Sharma’.
According to a report in the Indian Express the illegals from Pakistan were suffering persecution in their home country due to their association with MFI, the institution is banned in Pakistan. The names of those arrested are, Shaifiqur Rehman (50), Saif Ali alias Saifullah Abuja (50), Salim Khan (48), Faraz Ahmed alaias Fariduddin (42) along with six women Nausheen (40), Hamida (48), Frazana (43), Nusrat (40), Mahnoo3 (23) and Ruksana (39).
The Pakistani Illegals were living in different parts of the country, five in Delhi, three in Rajasthan and two in UP. All of them had a fake Aadhar card and forged copies of other necessary documents. According to the Police after the arrest of MFI agent Pervez Ahmed alias Farvez the investigative team called the illegals to Bengaluru. Pervez is a resident of UP and currently resides in Mumbai. He had come to provide legal assistance to the Pakistani nationals, and was nabbed in the process.
An official from the Jigni Police station informed “Once Pervez was arrested, the others were lured to Bengaluru through his contact list. Upon landing the Pakistani nationals were arrested.”
On 29th September a family of Pakistani nationals living on the outskirts of Bengaluru was arrested. The family was hiding under the Hindu name ‘Sharma’. The family had been living in Rajapura for the past six years. Post their arrest a three member Pakistani family living in Bengaluru was also identified as Pakistani. According to official sources none of the arrested had any criminal record. They were propagating the sermons of the MFI group. MFI preaches the ‘Gohriyan Philospohy’ which is similar to Sufism. The 18 have identified themselves as followers of Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi, a spiritual leader in Pakistan, and are affiliated to the Mehdi Foundation International (MFI). Post it ban in Pakistan the MFI is now based in London.
