The crime branch inquiry is taking place even as local police are probing the matter. As per reports, the police still have apprehensions over the accidental gunshot theory.
Reports say that Govinda informed the police that at the time of the incident, the revolver, which was 20-years-old, was unlocked, and it misfired while he was cleaning it. Meanwhile, police have said that no one has lodged any complaint in the matter so far.
Mysterious Incidents in Bollywood
In the past, many such mysterious incidents have taken place in the Bollywood fraternity. The Sushant Singh Rajput case is one recent example that shocked the entire nation, the cause of the incident is still debated and mystery clouds over the given facts in the case.
The Sri Devi death is another, where the famous 90’s actress was found drowned in a bathtub in a Dubai hotel room. Till today it has not been convincingly established how a relatively young and fit actor drowned in her own bathtub while taking a bath.
Over the years a number of Bollywood celebrities have succumbed to mysterious and sudden deaths Jiah Khan, Pratyusha Banarjee, Kuljeet Randhawa, Nafisa Joseph and Kunal Singh are just a few names in the long list.
Investigations are still underway, and mystery shrouds this case. Debates and rumours run rife over the cause and the actual facts of the Govinda gun shot incident. Perhaps a clearer picture may emerge, once the crime branch publish their findings. One can only hope that this incident does not become one of those questionable chapters brushed under the dark carpet of Bollywood.
