The Congress party has often faced serious allegations and public flake for Muslim appeasement and several of its leaders making anti-Hindu remarks. Now, a similar incident has unfolded in Madhya Pradesh, where a Congress leader is accused of making anti-Hindu remarks.
As per reports, Congress MLA from Madhya Pradesh’s Sheopur, Babu Jandel used abusive language for Lord Shiva. The video of his purported act is now going viral on social media. Following the incident, BJP and Hindu groups have launched scathing attacks on the Congress party and posed several questions to the grand old party.
In the viral video, an inebriated Congress MLA Babu Jandel can be heard abusing Lord Shiva while making obscene gestures.
Sharing the video, Madhya Pradesh BJP wrote, “Congress MLA Babu Jandel, drunk on alcohol, is abusing God. Why do anti-Sanatan Congressmen hate Hindu gods and goddesses so much?”
BJP leader from Madhya Pradesh, Narendra Saluja slammed the Congress party saying, “This is the drug shop of Congress. Video of Congress MLA Babu Jandel abusing Lord Shiva in the name of Lord Shiva has gone viral. Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar said, just a day prior you were giving a speech on drugs, now see the character of your party leaders. How they are insulting Lord Bholenath ji in intoxication. They had talked about blackening their faces after the election results but after this video, the public will blacken their faces even before the elections.”
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad National spokesperson Vinod Bansal issued an official statement slamming the Congress leader.
While sharing the video on X, he wrote, “See the extent of Congress’s Hindu treason. The henchmen of that so-called sacred thread wearing Hindu did not spare even Lord Shankar, you can’t even imagine what all is sold in the drug shop of Congress. This is not a small leader but the honorable MLA of Congress from Sheopur in Madhya Pradesh, Babu Jandel, who is showing the abusive culture of the party by taking the name of Lord Bholenath ji.”
He added, “I am feeling ashamed even while sharing this video, but the silence of Congress, Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge in the matter is hurting. He should immediately apologize to the Hindu community and expel him from the party. Strict action is expected from Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Madhya Pradesh Police on this grave insult to Lord Bholenath in a drunken state.”
It is pertinent to note that Congress MLA Banu Jandel had been in the news earlier as well. In an earlier viral video, he had given a controversial statement while claiming victory in the Vijaypur seat in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly by-election. He had said that if Congress does not win here, he will get his face blackened. He further said that he would understand that now Kaliyug has arrived. Injustice is prevalent and all the Kshatriyas are dead.
