On Saturday (19th October), Police informed that a case has been registered against popular choreographer Remo D’Souza, his wife, and five others for allegedly cheating a dance troupe of Rs 11.96 crore.
The case has been raised based on a complaint by a 26-year-old dancer, as announced by an official. According to the official, sections 465 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code stated that Remo, Lizelle and five others were charged with forgery and cheating.
The FIR claimed that between 2018 and July 2024, the complainant along with his troupe was allegedly cheated. He had allegedly disguised himself as the owner of the troupe and even taken prize money of ₹11.96 crore after winning the television show.
According to the sources, apart from Shakti Mohan, the accused in the case includes Omprakash Shankar Chouhan, Rohit Jadhav of Frame Production Company, Vinod Raut, a police officer, and Ramesh Gupta. And as per the sources, an investigation is going on in this regard.

He is rightly said to be one of the most successful and popular choreographers from Bollywood, ideal for several other Indian choreographers.

Some of the other reality shows that he has judged are Dance India Dance, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Dance Ke Superstars, Dance Plus, Dance Champions, India’s Best Dancer, DID Little Master, and DID Super Moms. He even hosted some of the aforementioned shows between 2018 until 2024. Some of them include but are not limited to, Dance Plus season 4, 5, and 6, India’s Best Dancer, Hip Hop India, and Dance Plus Pro.
