In the morning of 20th October, in the Prashant Vihar area of Rohini district a blast was reported outside the CRPF school. Following the blast, the Forensic Science Laboratory and bomb disposal squad were dispatched to investigate the cause. The blast caused no injuries but the school wall,nearby shop windows, and a parked car got damaged because of the blast.
Senior police officers, including the Crime Branch and Special Cell, have reached the area. The police investigating the case said “Today at 07:47 hrs, a PCR call was received in which the caller informed that a blast with lots of noise took place near CRPF school Sector 14 Rohini. SHO/PV and staff reached the spot, where the school wall was found damaged with a foul smell. The glasses of a nearby shop and a car parked near the shop were found to be damaged. No one was injured,”.
“Crime team, FSL team and bomb disposal squad is called on the spot. Crime spot has been cordoned. Fire brigade team is on the spot. The matter is being looked into on the cause of blast,” the police further added
Heavy police force has been deployed in the areas where the blast took place and investigations are underway.
In the aftermath of the incident, nearby police stations have been put on alert, with increased vigilance and checks in place. “Foot patrols have been intensified across various markets. We urge the public to immediately notify the police if they encounter any suspicious items,” stated another senior official.
