The call for Hindus to get united, by eliminating differences that exist within their society, is getting stronger with each passing day as, after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath underlined the need, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has also urged the community to get united.
“The Hindu society must unite for its security by eliminating language, caste, and regional differences in disputes,” Bhagwat said at an event in Rajasthan’s Baran.
India is a Hindu nation, he asserted.
“We have lived here since ancient times even though the term ‘Hindu’ came later. Hindus embrace everyone. They live in harmony through continuous dialogue,” the RSS chief added.
This has come at a time when the BJP has been accusing the opposition parties, including Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi, of trying to divide Hindus on caste lines.
In August last, the UP Chief Minister had cautioned the community by saying ‘batenge toh katenge’ (if Hindus get divided, they ‘ll be cut/killed).
On Saturday, October 5, Modi also made the same remark in Maharashtra’s Thane.
Meanwhile, Bhagwat described RSS as an ‘unparalleled’ organization.
“The functioning of the RSS is not mechanical but idea-based. It is an unparalleled organization with values that trickle down from the group leaders to volunteers, their families, and to the society at large,” he was quoted as saying in the reports.
