India is marching ahead with a certain degree of conviction under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the people – ordinary or highly placed – generally end up praising the work done by him in the past 10 years.
Jagdeep Dhankhar, who is under no pressure to do so, on Sunday observed that India was no longer a “sleeping giant” and the country, under Modi, was “unstoppable”.
He made these comments while addressing a function at Ramdeobaba University in Nagpur.
Dhankhar said middlemen had been removed permanently from the corridors of power, which had been infested with corruption earlier, leading to all sorts of issues.
“India was earlier called a sleeping giant which is no longer the case. India is on the rise. Its rise is unstoppable,” the VP underlined.
Encouraging the university students, he also said the quality education defines democracy and the education they were getting defines development which would fast-track our attainment of a fully developed nation by 2047.
There are several other incidents when people and leaders, even from opposition parties, have praised the work done by Modi.
The overall economic progress, boost in agriculture production and noticeable progress in almost all departments, be it defense, foreign policy and welfare-related works, have earned Modi the well-deserved praise.
