On Saturday morning PM Modi greeted social media with endearing snapshots of him with a newborn calf. The brown calf is incidentally the first to be born at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in Prime Minister Modi’s tenure.
“A new member at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg!” PM Modi wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, as he posted pictures of him with the brown calf which he named ‘Deepjyoti’, which means light of the lamp. The PM also posted a short video where he plays and caresses the calf.
The PM’s account also posted an uplifting message for his followers “It is said in our scriptures – ‘Gaav: Sarvasukha Prada:’ There has been the auspicious arrival of a new member in the prime minister’s residence’s family at Lok Kalyan Marg. In the prime minister’s residence, the beloved mother cow has given birth to a new calf, which has a symbol of light on its forehead. Hence, I have named it ‘Deepjyoti’.”
Prime Minister Modi is a well known vegetarian and animal lover, he frequently posts pictures where he is seen spending time caring for and feeding cows. Modi’s affection for Gaumata symbolising his cultural upbringing where he does not shy away from his faith and religious beliefs, taking pride in caring for the sacred cows, fondly known as gaumata the symbol of motherly love and affection which is synonymous with the thousands of years old rich culture of this land.
The Prime Minister will now be readying his campaign for the upcoming elections in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Little Deepjyoti’s arrival is sure to provide the PM with a renewed sense of blessings from Gaumata.
