Barack Hussein Obama: Why fear when Himanta is here?

Barack Hussein Obama: It’s no secret that our friends over at the Congress seem to have quite the obsession with Prime Minister Modi. It’s so intense that if PM Modi sneezes, they don’t say ‘bless you’ but rather start preparing press releases about air pollution. It’s quite a sight.

So, when former US President Barack Obama decided to offer his unasked and unsolicited insights on India’s internal affairs, Congress, like an excited puppy spotting its owner, rushed to wag their tails in agreement. Oh, Barack Hussein Obama, your criticism of what you call the “deterioration of democratic order” in India turned Congress into your uninvited cheerleaders, pompoms and all. Yet, like a pop quiz in advanced quantum physics, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s response was totally off their syllabus.

Let’s see how the left liberals lost their sanity over a simple jibe by Himanta Biswa Sarma, and why the meltdown over his take on Barack Obama was a perfect popcorn moment for political enthusiasts.

Obama’s ‘unexpected’ rants

Obama’s comments were, to put it mildly, ‘interesting’. He suggested that PM Modi needed a lesson or two on protecting the rights of minorities, otherwise India may start to “pull apart”. If only he’d shown such concern for the rise of ISIS during his term. But I digress.

Just when the global cabal of anarchists were beginning to pat themselves on the back, Sarma came forward with a counter punch that left them gobsmacked. In response to a rather delightful comment from our dear journalist Rohini Singh, who, quite humorously, asked if the Assam police were on their way to arrest Obama for hurting sentiments, Sarma retorted, “There are many Hussain Obama in India itself. We should prioritise taking care of them before considering going to Washington.” You could almost hear the collective gasp from the left-wing supporters.

There are many Hussain Obama in India itself. We should prioritize taking care of them before considering going to Washington. The Assam police will act according to our own priorities. https://t.co/flGy2VY1eC

— Himanta Biswa Sarma (Modi Ka Parivar) (@himantabiswa) June 23, 2023

Imagine, the leftists and Islamists suddenly found their trousers uncomfortably bunched up. It’s almost as if Sarma had turned into Muhammad Ali and given Barack Hussein Obama a swift jab to the chin. Their outrage was both amusing and deafening, a combo that you don’t find too often, do you?

Oh, the meltdown!

Yet, the fallout was predictable. The global Left, ever the fans of melodrama, interpreted Sarma’s comment as proof of their claims about the mistreatment of Muslims in India. Even Prakash Raj and Mohammad Zubair, known for their love of pot-stirring, joined the bandwagon. One can’t help but laugh at the farcical reaction.

As the Prime Minister continues his state visit to the US, a BJP Chief Minister makes a jibe at Muslims, only hours after the PM stressed there was no discrimination against minorities in India. Wonder how this will go down https://t.co/YVmSWHoB5A

— Nidhi Razdan (@Nidhi) June 23, 2023

‘My friend Barack’ is now Hussain Obama!

Actually Himanta has answered what PM Modi was asked at White House.

His insinuation – about President Obama being a muslim and Indian Muslims need to be taught a lesson – was the question’s premise.

What is the PM, MEA and Govt of… https://t.co/a5HISKtsWY

— Supriya Shrinate (@SupriyaShrinate) June 23, 2023

Isn't this an acknowledgment of religious discrimination by Chief Minister of Assam @himantabiswa by threatening to 'take care' Indians like 'Hussain Obama' (stresses on the name) who criticize Indian govt and speaks inline with Former US President @BarackObama https://t.co/R36lFcgIO2

— Mohammed Zubair (@zoo_bear) June 23, 2023

Some even cried for US intervention in India. Yes, you heard that right. Their paranoia hit such dizzying heights that a tweet from a state Chief minister was taken as evidence of stifled human rights under PM Modi’s leadership. They might as well claim that the moon is made of cheese while they’re at it!

Also read: Ilhan’s misery, activists’ flop show and Modi’s roar in the States

Here’s a little history refresher for our friends. Threats of partition, similar to those echoed by Barack Hussein Obama, are nothing new for Hindus and Bharat. Karl Marx, the father of Communism, highlighted the ingrained concept of the two-nation theory, that was followed verbatim by the likes of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and Muhammad Ali Jinnah! Not sure if the left liberals are ready to accept this nugget of wisdom from their ‘Headmaster’, though!

In the end, when Sarma talked about dealing with those who are like Barack Hussein Obama, he simply implied that divisive elements who pose a threat to India’s unity will face the full force of the law. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the Sarma special punch – no holds barred, no sugar-coating. So, fear not, India. Himanta is here, with gloves on and ready to spar. Let the global Left have their meltdown, we have popcorn ready!
