Shri Chintamani Ganesh Temple – Guide
Shri Chintamani Ganesh Temple or Bade Ganesha Temple is located close to the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, dedicated to Lord Ganesha, one of the most worshiped deities in India. Lord Ganesha and his two and Riddhi and Siddhi are enshrined in the Chintaman temple. An extraordinary statue is also installed along with five idols of Hanuman.
History of this Temple
The history of the Shri Chintamani Ganesh Temple is believed to be several hundred years old. According to historians, the Chintaman temple was built by the Parmar rulers around the 11th and 12th centuries, hence it is The temple also holds significant historical importance. While according to beliefs, it is believed that Lord Ganesha himself came to earth for the construction of this temple.
Ganesh Chaturthi in the month of September or October is celebrated in its most beautiful form and a huge crowd of devotees throngs it.

Shri Chintamani Ganesh Temple opens at 8:00 AM in the morning and close at 8:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 8:30 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 7:00 PM in the evening.
