1. Sumo Tournaments

Sumo wrestlers are well-known in Japan. It is one of their traditional games, which they play very religiously following their legacy. If you are travelling to Japan, then watching Sumo wrestling tournaments should be on your must-watch list.

In Tokyo, there is a Sumo Stable. You can visit it and watch their morning training sessions. You can be lucky enough to get to watch sumo wrestling sessions if you visit it as per their schedule. There is no particular time specified for the Sumo Wrestling schedule. However, it happens many times a year.

2. Kabuki Theatre

There is a Kabukiza theatre in (Ginzo) Tokyo, Japan. There you can entertain yourself by watching the theatre.

Kabuki is one of the traditional theatre arts. In Kabuki, all the males only act and represent themselves with very good makeup and look. You can watch their performances, which include music, drama, and dance.

Apart from Kabukiza, you can also watch this drama in other theatres, but you need to search for it. As you know, it is their classic traditional theatre act only, so it is performed only in their local Japanese language. But don’t worry, it has English captions as well.

3. Must Visit Itchiku Kubota Art Museum

This beautiful art museum is situated at the lake shore. Its location enhances its beauty. There is a teahouse in this museum that is a must-visit treasure for your Japan trip. You will find yourself mesmerized watching such wonderful scenery while comforting yourself in the teahouse.

Kubota is actually an ancient Japanese technique to dye clothes. So you will find yourself in love with the different dye designs of beautiful Kimonos.

4. Dressing up like Geisha

Japanese dress is one of the must-try during your Japan trip. You may not feel comfortable while wearing it in Japan. But you will surely miss it if you don’t even try it once during your trip.

The amazing thing is you can hire it for rent if you don’t want to buy one for yourself. You can flaunt yourself wearing it the whole day in the streets of Japan, enjoy and make memories.

In Gion and Kyoto, you will find many such places. Apart from that, you will find many professional studios that you can hire for yourself if you want to get professional photoshoots in different poses and locations. I would recommend you not miss such an amazing opportunity.

5. Travel by Bullet Train (Shinkansen)

Japan has the fastest and best bullet train facility as public transport. That not only saves your time, but you get a world-class experience. The Japanese trains are the cleanest, quiet, and most comfortable ones. Moreover, they always run on time, and you can have the safest journey.

So, along with all the above, you will get the highest speed of 199 mph. Apart from all the above features, you will be able to commute long distances within a matter of a few minutes.

Let’s talk about the Shinkansen Nozomi, which is the fastest bullet train. And help you travel from Tokyo to Kyoto (450 KM) 280 Miles within just 2 hours and 15 minutes.

6. Go-karting within Tokyo

Another major attraction during your Japan trip is Go-karting in Tokyo city. Yes, you read it right. You can enjoy your real go-karting ride within the busy streets of a major city like Tokyo. It was one of the most amazing experiences I had during my visit.

The cherry on top is you can dress in any of your favourite cartoon, bird, or animal characters while you want to enjoy your go-karting ride. Apart from Tokyo, you can enjoy go-karting in Osaka as well.

7. Disneysea in Disneyland Tokyo Park

Disneyland in Tokyo is established with a beautiful view of the Sea. It is one of the most beautiful Disneyland sites in the whole world. You can get the experience of living in imagination.

The sites in this Disney park are a treat to the eyes. It is based on a nautical theme. You will get to see and experience mysterious & beautiful islands. There is a Mediterranean Harbor and volcano eruptions shown within these islands. It is actually represented as looking like Italy.

Not only kids but adults will also enjoy the core as they have 1920-based lounge bars in Cruise. Another attraction for adults is Broadway shows. There are many different rides as well that you can enjoy being an adult as well as a kid.

8. Harukas 300 Skyscrapers in Osaka

As you know, the Japanese are very advanced in technology. There are many skyscrapers in Japan’s many cities. The city view from these towering buildings is really amazing. One of my favourites is Harukas 300, which is situated in Osaka. It has 360 views from its oversized size windows.

Moreover, they have open-air bars that give you fantastic experiences while enjoying the nightlife in Japan. You can visit the red Eiffel tower in Japan as well. Ahh! You must be wondering if I am okay. But let me tell you, they are lookalikes of the Eiffel tower in Tokyo. It is also known as the Tokyo tower and is a prevalent skyscraper viewpoint.

9. Visit Universal Studios Japan

There is another studio park in Japan. That is not in Tokyo, but Osaka, actually. It is a Universal studio park based on the Harry potter world theme. That means you can enjoy yourself being in the world of your favourite childhood character, Harry potter.

You can find yourself wandering in the Snow filled cobbled streets, roaming around Hogwarts. Apart from that you can also do other things like drinking butterbeer, and buying sweets from honeydukes. You can buy your magic wand also.

Just like Harry potter, you can enjoy flying rides over flying dinosaurs. You can have thrilling roller coaster rides as well. They have included Super Nintendo world, so you can enjoy it there as well.

10. Prepare your own Takoyaki.

Takoyaki is one of the most famous street foods in Japan. It would help if you tried not only tasting rather making it. It is non-vegetarian food, but it is available in vegetarian versions also.

So, you can try it anyway you like. The street vendors have already prepared the batter for it. This batter is to be cooked in a ball shape on an iron griddle having mould-like small balls.

It is to be filled with octopus. But in the veg version, it can be replaced by mushrooms, ginger pickles, puffed rice, or green onions. You can enjoy making and eating any of your preferred versions.

11. Check Manholes

You must be wondering if I am weird. Who checks manholes while on your vacations? I am not telling you to check manholes. It is actually their covers.

Back in 1980, some wise people in Japan decided to design the covers of Manholes. It was done to appreciate the sewer system as well as the workers. Now, you can find almost 10000 manhole covers designed beautifully.

You will find attractive designs, including cute characters, buildings, animals, nature, etc. That is how smart Japanese bring your attention to the most neglected but most important thing in everyone’s life.

12. Sushi on the train

As you know, Sushi is one of the most famous foods in Japan. There are many restaurants that have arranged different sushi meals along with their prices. So, you can select the one that tempts you the most while checking whether it is in your budget.

However, a few restaurants have slightly different systems. They have a normal menu system, but they deliver your ordered food to your table using the conveyor belt. This conveyor belt has a beautiful Shinkansen shape. That delivers your food to your table.

There are options for Vegetarian Sushi as well in some restaurants. You can choose from cheese, tofu, carrot, cucumber, or any other vegetable.
