Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain resign: All is not well in Delhi, and the conditions are worse in bordering Punjab, both of which are under the administration of the Aam Aadmi Party. While in Delhi, ministers of the Delhi government are being arrested under serious corruption charges, in Punjab, Khalistan is resurrecting with Amritpal Singh as its face. The situation seems to have gone out of hand.
Khalistan is resurrecting in Punjab
After the Bhagwant Mann government took over the reigns of Punjab, the state saw the resurrection of Khalistan. In the past year, there have been several instances of vandalism of temples outside India, like in the United Kingdom and Australia, a referendum in Canada, and a bull-blown rally in the Indian state of Punjab, with Amritpal Singh, the newly appointed chief of the group ‘Waris Punjab De,” being portrayed as Bhindrawale 2.0.
It can be said that the result of AAP’s flirting with Khalistani leaders is out in the open for the world to see. Police stations are being attacked while the Bhagwant Mann government sits like a mute spectator. If something concrete is done in Punjab, it is tough to say. But if Khalistan resurrects, it wouldn’t be good for Arvind Kejriwal’s national dreams. And to save them, it appears that he has already chosen some sacrificial lambs.

Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain resign from Kejriwal’s cabinet
Following an 8-hour-long inquiry, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, who also holds the finance portfolio, was taken into custody by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday in connection with the liquor scam case.
Soon, Sisodia approached the Supreme Court of India, challenging his arrest. After the apex court declined his plea, he resigned from all ministerial posts. Along with Sisodia, his cabinet colleague, Satyendra Jain, who has been in jail for several months, also resigned.
While the resignation of Manish Sisodia can be understood, what made Satyendra Jain resign is that he has been in custody since May 2022, following a raid in which the Enforcement Directorate (ED) confiscated Rs 2.85 crores in cash and 133 gold coins.

The anti-corruption veil of AAP was blown away
Arvind Kejriwal has been known to have climbed the political ladder by weighing in on the principle of honesty. The Aam Aadmi Party leaders, along with its supremo, Kejriwal, presented themselves as the crusaders against corruption.
However, the ‘anti-corruption veil’ no longer exists after the multi-crore scams of top AAP leaders like Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain have been unearthed, and the resurrection of Khalistan has made it worse for the AAP to retain its image.
For the sake of the same, probably, Kejriwal, the king of PR, has made two of his cabinet ministers (Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain) resign altogether. Because it was Kejriwal himself who has been shielding Jain for the past 6–7 months.
