In a recent event, Rishab Shetty talked about the prequel to Kantara, Kantara 2. He also dropped a pleasant shocker of a hint that Rajinikanth could possibly appear in the prequel to the Kantara film. This has created a strong buzz among the fans of the movie and die-hard fans of Rajnikanth, including us. According to media reports, the actor stated that the team is working on a script and that the prequel will be full of surprises for the audience. He also added that even the genre of the film would be different.

A media report quoted the actor saying, “We are researching for the script. Preliminary work is underway. In the prequel, the audiences are in for plenty of surprises. Even the film’s genre will be different.” Earlier, during the celebrations of the 100-day successful theatrical run of Kantara, Rishabh Shetty had announced the prequel of the Kantara film.
According to the report, when asked if superstar Rajinikanth would also appear in Kantara 2, Rishab neither rejected the claim nor denied the rumours; rather, he chose to remain silent in order to maintain the suspense and thrill surrounding the reports. It is important to note that Rajnikanth had earlier lauded the film and shared the review of the movie on Twitter.

A few days later, Rishab himself disclosed that he met Rajinikanth at his house in Chennai, where they talked about the movie.
