Bharat Ratna and Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a benevolent statesman. But he never hesitated from taking a stern and pragmatic stand for upholding the sovereignty of India. Following its evil strategy of a thousand cuts, the Pakistani military-led by despot General Pervez Musharraf (died recently) plotted the sinister Kargil war. The fool-hardy tyrant wanted to exploit Vajpayee’s benevolent image.
Kargil War – An Indian Victory
Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, had once precisely mentioned that the world has seen India’s desire for peace, but now they will witness that to uphold peace, India will not hesitate to use its power (SHAKTI) and what is moree important is that when situation knocked the door he lived by his every single word.
We very well know that war was non-partisan and fought by the Armed Forces, a highly revered and impartial force that is beyond reproach in terms of its unwavering commitment to the nation, free from political influence.
Yet, Congress – then and now – resorted to giving war a political spin. Stooping to new lows, Congress tried every effort to trivialise the victory of the Indian Army. From 2004 to 2009, the Congress party did not observe Kargil Vijay Diwas. Its leaders claimed that Kargil is not a thing to be celebrated.

The uninterrupted chain of reprehensible thoughts regarding Kargil
On 5th of February, 2023, the mastermind of Kargil War, former Pakistan General and Dictator Pervez Musharraf died in an American Hospital in Dubai.
While many netizens highlighted the tainted legacy of Musharraf and pointed out that he escaped Justice for his grave illegalities against humanity, particularly India. He was the one who both directly and indirectly oversaw, supported and orchestrated terror attacks throughout India and the imposition of Kargil war. However, it was a moment for Congress leaders to do the bidding for their former party President, Sonia Gandhi.
Just like their Former President Sonia Gandhi, Congress leaders in their obituary tweets to Musarraf tried to absolve him of his war crimes against India.
“Pervez Musharraf, Former Pakistani President, Dies of Rare Disease”: once an implacable foe of India, he became a real force for peace 2002-2007. I met him annually in those days at the @un &found him smart, engaging & clear in his strategic thinking. RIP https://t.co/1Pvqp8cvjE

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor tweeted calling Musarraf – a real force for peace. Within no time, several netizens including former diplomats Kanwal Sibal and MoS Rajeev Chandrashekhar lambasted him for white washing the crimes of Pervez Musharraf and in a way peddled Congress’ earlier stance that the kargil war was a BJP war, not of India.
Force for peace? Joke. Avowed using terror groups to pressure India. Obsessed with Kashmir. In 2002 attacked India venomously at UN. I responded as FS to press at NY. Terror attacks under him: against Parl, in Mumbai,Delhi, Bangalore,Varanasi,Hyderabad,Jaipur, Ahmedabad etc. https://t.co/pwcz6i3FzT

That a former Cong Foreign Min (a party that refused to celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas till 2010) wud think that a Pak General who inflicted terror, a back stabbing conflict n tortured our Soldiers in violatn of every Intl law, wud be a "force for peace" – best describes Cong. https://t.co/uo5gRu9AYQ

#Musharraf. The military dictator who wrecked chances of India-#Pakistan peace at the 2001 Agra Summit hosted by Vajpayee ji. Architect of Kargil War fiasco
Later, he made a sensible proposal for peaceful resolution of the #Kashmir dispute

Stretching it.Why not make list of our enemies & speak kindly of them when dead? When Hafiz Saeed& Masood Azhar die? M used terror against India without let.Reopened issue of our sovereignty over Kashmir which was his game. No “borders” in K with borders elsewhere was a trap. https://t.co/2LL0SxCuow

By eulogising Pervez Musharraf, Congress leaders are doing nothing but furthering the line of thinking set by their Former Party President Sonia Gandhi and increasing their stature in the party, at the cost of party’s stature in the general public.
