Modi approval rating: Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, has once again been deemed the world’s most popular leader according to a research firm based in the United States, known as Morning Consult. The survey, which included 22 leaders, discovered that Mr. Modi received an approval rating of 78% among India’s adult populace. The results indicated that only 18% of individuals in India disagreed with Mr. Modi being recognized as the most popular leader globally. Other leaders, such as Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, and the President of the United States, Joe Biden, received approval ratings of 40%, while the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, received a rating of 30%.
Highest approval rating of Mr. Modi was recorded on the 2nd of May 2020, at 84%, and the lowest was 63% on the 7th of May 2021, during the pinnacle of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The latest ratings by Morning Consult were collated between the 26th and 31st of January this year, utilizing a seven-day moving average of adult residents in each country, with sample sizes varying from country to country.
The survey conducted by Morning Consult is conducted online, with more than 20,000 daily interviews conducted globally and the sample in India representing the literate population. The data is based on factors such as age, gender, region, education and official government sources in each country.
