Jack the Ripper was an unidentified serial killer who terrorised London in the 19th century. His equivalence in the cinematic parlance can be dubbed as ‘Farhad the Ripper’.
Notably, Farhad Samji is a Bollywood film director, writer, and composer who has earned widespread fame by collaborating with his brother Sajid Samji. The brother duo is popular as Sajid – Farhad and are known for directing awfully unbearable movies like Entertainment and Housefull 3. Through this article, we will highlight his notoriety and how he is no less a wildfire that engulfs artistic expression. The cause of worry is that with an anti-Midas touch he can sour our experience of one of the most popular comic film franchises, Hera Pheri.
Hera Pheri 3: From Fun to Fiasco with Farhad Samji at the Helm
As per some media reports, Farhad Samji will be directing the much-awaited comedy franchise, Hera Pheri 3. It is a major cause of worry for the franchise fans as his past directorial and even other endeavours depict that his association is a sure shot recipe for disaster.
In 2014, alongside Sajid Nadidwala, he directed the film Entertainment. The least we say about this film, the better it is. There are no words to express the suffering of the viewers who survived it. Two years later, the director duo reunited to direct another awful movie, Housefull 3.
Apart from this collaboration of serving death to viewers, Farhad Samji independently directed Housefull 4, Bachchhan Paandey; Web series baby come naa and Booo Sabki Phategi. While a few of his directorial ventures have mustered decent Box office collections, it is nothing less than a terrible life-threatening experience for the viewers.

When it comes to having multiple talents, he gives a good run for money to Ram Rahim Singh Insaan in the mad race of who can do the worst in multiple genres and torment viewers.
In the name of acting assault on audiences, he has made cameo appearances in movies including Coolie No. 1 and Baaghi 3. Similarly, he has written lyrics for the title track of film Prassthanam (2019), Mata ka Jagrata for Laxmii (2020) and title track for Coolie No.1. As a singer he has ‘contributed’ in the song, ‘The Bhoot Song’ in Housefull 4, ‘Mata ka Jagrata’.
Additionally, he has written dialogues for films like Coolie No.1, Laxmii, Baaghi 3 and Street Dancer 3D among others.
His future ventures too are very promising including the film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, a remake of 2014 released Tamil film.
With such ‘illustrious track record’, it will not be wrong to say that just like Housefull franchise, Hera Pheri franchise will start losing its charm and may even die a tortuous death because of Farhad the ripper, a vandal that defaces masterpieces.
