Sanghi Temple, Timings and overview

Sanghi Temple is one of the modern religious attractions of the city of Hyderabad in the state of Telangana. This temple is located in Sanghi Nagar and is situated 25 km away from Hyderabad city. The temple is primarily dedicated to Sri Venkateswara.

Any temple will usually be named after the deity it is dedicated to or will be known from the place where it is located. But instead, Sanghi Temple bears the name of the group that built it. It was developed by the Sanghi Group, a prominent industrialist from South India, known for its philanthropy, based in Hyderabad, and has since been popularly known as the Sanghi Temple.

History of this Temple

Sanghi Temple is actually a modern structure. It is built as a combination of the ancient architectural styles of the Cholas of the Tamil land and that of the Chalukyas of present-day Karnataka. This temple was built in the year 1991 and its construction was completed in a record time of just 18 months. This grand structure stands majestically on the Parmanand Giri hill, a little away from the city.

The Sanghi Temple remains a homogeneous mix of the old and the new. While its architecture and sculptures are designed and based on well-established styles of ancient times, it essentially remains a place of worship for the present day.

Sanghi Temple Timings

This temple opens at 08.00 am to 01.00 pm in the morning and 04.00 pm to 08.00pm in the evening.

ISKCON-Shri Radha Madanmoham Temple

The ISKCON temple is one of the holy temples of Hyderabad, and is visited by most of the visitors as it is located within a distance of 35 km, which takes 1 hour 8 minutes to reach from the Sanghi temple. The term ISKCON stands for International Society for Krishna Consciousness dedicated to Lord Krishna, which follows the Vaishnava culture.

KBR National Park

It takes 1 hour 19 minutes to reach Sanghi Temple to KBR Park and covers a distance of 68.9 km via Nehru Outer Ring Road. Golconda Fort is the capital of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. Golconda fort was built by the Kakatiyas. Golconda has 87 semicircular bastions with four different forts within a distance of 10 km.

By Air- The nearest airport is Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, which is at a distance of 38 km from the temple. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport services.

By Train- The nearest railway station is the Secunderabad Railway Station, which is  at a distance of 34 kms away from this temple. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport services.

By Road- The nearest bus station is at Sanghi Nagar, which is located at a distance of 1 kms from the Mandir. Roads to this temple are well connected with the other cities of the country so you can easily reach this temple by using any own vehicle.
